Sneak Peek : Inside the 8,000 square meters Play City of Kidzania Manila

It all started 15 years ago in Mexico City and now, Kidzania Manila is already the 20th metropolis in the Kidzania nation.

Kidzania Manila is a vision that the Philippines is truly going world class. A perfect example of kids entertainment but on a much different level.

This is a role-playing entertainment center and a safe and secure haven, where the children could play. where kids can be themselves and choose a work and lately in the future become that person. 

In Kidzania, children can experience how to become a pilot, a doctor, a firefighter, a driver and so much more. 

Believe me, it is an amazing amazing city and an amazing world of its own. And we are fortunate that we have this in the Philippines and I'm excited to be part of the launching.

Next destination : Kidzania Manila

This is accessible to kids aged 4 to 14. Toddlers can explore the city with the parents but cannot participate in the activities.

These are the ticket prices. Yes, way too high for most of us, but believe me, it's super worth it. Your kids will enjoy big time , as well as the parents!

Let me remind you that while the children are busy with their own things inside Kidzania, the parents can walk around, take picture and do selfies. This will encourage parents to allow their children to choose their activities. No parents can go with their children inside the establishments except for the TV Studio and Movie Theater where parents can be part of the audience.
It's actually intriguing to know what my kids really like.

Now, we can observe our children then we follow them.
When they love what they do, passion comes in and they will do their very best for it.

I have been to one of the events of Kidzania last year and the only question I had in mind was the exact opening of this awesome city.

As they designed , shaped and built this unique Kidzania Manila facility and visitor experience, they made sure they've checked every corner,every space, studied kids and families and how they are treated because Kidzania all over the world is an all-access facility.

They wanted to make sure that their content was relevant.
They wanted to create a true community of believers.
They wanted to give the children a sense of cultural memory.

The value of serving others and empathy is super important nowadays especially now that we are living in a fast paced life brought on by the digital revolution.

It will spread the good news on why the Philippines is fun--thanks to Kidzania Manila.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by the Cebu Pacific staff with a smile. They also have a convenient counter for the kiddos and offer free and strong WIFI connection.

Our children's safety is their utmost priority so every visitor in KidZania Manila will be required to wear an RFID (radio frequency identification) security bracelet.

Each child will be matched with a corresponding adult who will also wear an RFID security bracelet. NO CHILD is allowed to leave the facility without being accompanied or picked-up by the registered adult.

When you enter, there are actual businesses inside Kidzania. Actual companies that kids can relate to. What's good about it is that when the kids want to play, it's not just an imaginary plane but a real one and a real company that they can relate to.

There are elevators that can accommodate and assist children with special needs and disabilities for transferring from floor-to-floor at the entrance

This baggage belt/ Flight connections area is for taking selfies only, I guess.
Seriously, you can leave your excess baggage in this area.

For the food, they offer a variety of fresh meals for everyone to enjoy at the cafe inside the city.
But here is a list of what food and drink may be brought into their city :

• Distilled drinking water for infant formula
• Any food required for medical purposes and medically -indicated nutritional supplements
• Any food required for special dietary needs
• Canned, Jarred, or processed foods, breast milk and infant formula
• Liquids including water, juices, or liquid nutrition or gels for passengers with a disability or medical condition are permitted "in absence of suspicious activity"

When kids are role playing , they want it to be real. 

They are opening over 52 establishments and activities will last from 15 to 20 minutes. It's important in a day that a child can try 5 to 6 professions. 

A check of 50 kidzos will be given to each kid upon entering, along with other essentials like the Kidzania map, Mcdo food stub and boarding pass.

Kids with a check of 50 kidzos can open up a savings account at BPI bank and get an ATM card, where they can withdraw and spend it at Kidzania tiangge, or the Kidzania Department Store.
They can spend it to get a degree at the CEU University and when they get different degrees , whether bachelor's or master's, their "sahod" goes up when they work in different establishments.

When they run out of Kidzos, they cannot buy more Kidzos. They have to work. It will teach the children the fundamentals of economy. 

I always do the transaction thingy whenever we go to a bank of course, but here, they will teach the kids the importance of independence and responsibility. 

In this BPI bank, they made a kid-friendly counter for exchanging checks of 50 kidzos ( kidzania's official money).

The reception desk is really perfect for any kid's height. My only wish is that all banks in manila are like this. No long lines, no long queus. Long lines are bad for business. Hah!

 See, how fast and easy the transaction was! She got her own BPI ATM card in just minutes.

 How cute are these BPI ATM machines suitable for our little darlings, right? Too bad, we weren't able to check the balance at the end of our tour.

You can buy cool Kidzania merchandise , different kinds of career uniform suited for the kids , as souvenirs , near the entrance of the building.

Stair lifts are also provided for establishments or levels accessed through stairs.

The building is equipped with CCTV cameras all over. Information in establishments within the city is available in audio-visual medium.

They also have Kidzania Clinic just in case something happens. One can never be too sure.

Here at KIDZANIA RADIO STATION BY DZMM , children who loves music can transmit one here. They can also deliver news reports, and participate in radio dramas within the city.
They can be part of a live radio broadcast! Unfortunately , they were closed that day.

What a fun way to be healthy by doing your groceries here at HEALTHY OPTIONS.

Children can learn about food choices, and stay within budget. They can also learn to manage the supermarket and attend to customers. If only parents can enter the estabishments, right?

Welcome to our favorite hangout place whenever we are in a mall-- NATIONAL BOOKSTORE!

Children can freely browse different book titles and art supplies. Your child can also join the storytelling team and help bring a featured story to life at the Central Plaza. Cool!

Because we are part of a tour that day, we weren't able to participate in creative design in the OISHI department.

Here, your children can brainstorm product research with other kids and design an original treat.

Be a Pharmacist for a day and enjoy working at MERCURY DRUG

Your children can help manage and stock medicine inventory, ready medicine orders, and prepare special medicinal compounds.

You have to pay a certain Kidzos amount for your kids training. The training will lasts 15 to 20 minutes and then they need to work to be able to get additional Kidzos as their salary.

You can always find your way home with this cute direction post. Having a poor sense of direction and always absent-minded like me, this thing is truly essential in one's life ( No Waze here in Kidzania).

Appearances can be deceiving, but in the case of interior decor, they can be a good thing.
Ceiling murals like this one that mimic the sky and clouds are the coolest thing ever! I need to have this in my house.

Those holes..are those speakers? Not quite sure. What I'm sure of is that they have numbers of kid-friendly restrooms across the entire play city for your convenience.

See? Kid-friendly, I told you! She is Noa, the daughter of a blogger mom friend and she's only 4 years old.

Here at the SKY CABLE station, your children can be a cable service installer, service team member for a day.
They will let you climb walls when servicing different establishments with cable service connection.
We will try this next week, I promise!

Here at the KIDZANIA TAX OFFICE, your children can now try to become a Taxpayer and a Tax Officer.
This will teach them how to pay taxes on time. Children can help compute and collect taxes from businesses inside the city under the supervision of an adult , of course.

Let your kids be part of the hotel staff and they will teach them how to assist guests.

Your children will be able to learn on making their guest will have a comfortable stay while working in housekeeping, food and dining, or reception.

Finally, someone will teach them how to make a bed properly and become part of our children's morning routine.

I was not able to visit this SHINE AT NIGHT GLOW IN THE DARK establishment. Not really sure about this.

My kids are totally animal lovers. I asked them some years ago what they want when they grow up. My daughter said she wanted to become a Vet because she loves dogs so much.
If your kids is a real animal lover, here at PET EXPRESS, as veterinarians in training, they will learn how to perform a check-up on a dummy dog.

Enjoy becoming a Florist for  a day here at JOY BASKET

Your children can ask the customers to order gifts and beautiful flower arrangements. They will teach them how to do bouquets and gift baskets.

When you visit the KIDZANIA TINAGGE , your kids can be an accessory maker at a Traditional Jewelry Shop.

They can weave, tie, bead, or loom your very own handcrafted creations for just a few KidZos.

They can also do art crafts using colored papers and do painting as well.

Kid-friendly tattoos are also available and they can spend their hard-earned Kidzos here.

Here at the ABSCBN THEATER, your kids can enjoy any one of KidZania’s free theater shows or meet and greet KidZania's RightZKeepers.

This image here reminds me of the movie Back to the Future. Remember the famous clock tower where lightning struck it in Hill Valley,  providing enough power to send Marty McFly and the DeLorean back to the future to 1985? There is a similarity, right?
The Little Mermaid was the theater show that day. No one wanted to participate. If only parents could join!

Here at the Kidzania Fire Department by PIONEER YOU INSURANCE, children can be firefighters for a day!

If you let your kids join KidZania’s Fire Brigade, they learn about fire safety and will be trained to put out fires in the city.

Complete with cool fireman uniforms with boots and hat. These junior firefighters are ready to fight leaping flames in super awesome yellow uniforms.

The "burning" Flamingo Hotel in Kidzania Manila where the junior firefighters were supposedly try to put out the "fire".

This is probably one of the coolest activities while in Kidzania Manila. 

After the training, they will join the cool firetruck ride and try to extinguish the burning building with real water while the proud parents cheer for them.

This is really the coolest firetruck, ever!

Here at the mini ST.LUKE'S HOSPITAL, your child can be a nurse or a doctor in a day.

They can work as a team to perform a transplant operation on a dummy patient. Complete with a defibrillator for the common treatment of life-threatening cardiac dysrhythmias and ventricular fibrillation.

St. Luke's was a big part of my life. Why? I was part of the pathology department and there I met my ex boyfriend turned husband of 10 years. I was glad my daughter asked me if she can train here to be the doctor for the day. I wasn't expecting that, really.

At the Hospital Baby Care Center by Johnson's, my two daughters paid I think it was 10 kidzos each, to be able to join the training course for nurses.

Scary looking  - real life-looking babies, 'ya think?

The children are now practicing the basics of baby care. Complete with uniforms, of course!

At the Paramedic Station by Green Cross, The children will be part of their brave paramedic team, and respond to emergency calls within the city and perform first aid.

Too bad I did not let my kids try the C.S.I station, where they will actually get your child's fingerprint.

How cool are those "crime-scene-do-not-cross yellow tapes, huh? And the makeup cases! Kidding!

Here at the car design and dealership by HONDA CARS, kids who are fascinated with cars can be a customer, Car Designer or a Salesperson.

You can see a display room for showcasing vehicles that consumers can actually interact with. Your kids can also make their own custom car design.

At A1 Driving School, learn to become a student driver for a day.
They will teach your children learn traffic regulations and vehicle operations.

They will let you test drive a car and then soon earn your Driver’s License when you pass the test. They will give you A1 Driving School student permit cards like these.

If the kids flunk the driving test given by the driving school, they can apply at the Gas Station at SHELL as Pit Crew Member or a cool car mechanic.
They will let you operate the gas pump, change oil, check tire pressure, and care for a customer’s car.

Your child can always try to apply at Mcdonald's as a crew member.

They will teach your kids how to make their own Mcdo burgers using miniature Mcdo equipment.

Kidzania Merchandise are also available at the National Store of Kidzania just infront of Mcdonald's.

Hangout with mom and dad here at the Making Friends Cafe and make friends with other cool moms and dads as well. If you're too tired to roam around this cool city, Cafes like this one are available for your resting needs.

And if you're too tired to roam around the streets of Kidzania, just pay the specified amount in Kidzos and enjoy the whole Kidzania by joining the KIDZANIA CITY TOUR BUS.

You can ride and relax with the whole family as you see the sights of KidZania Manila. This bus stops at popular spots of activities along the KidZania Manila's main roadway.

ABSCBN STAR MAGIC brings out the performers and actors in your kids.
They can act in a stage play in the Theater or perform in the City Parade.

They will also teach them how to play the guitar or the piano in minutes!

Here at STARMUSIC STUDIO , your kids will learn how to sing and play instruments in their own jam session and be the next recording star or recording Artist.
We love to sing at home using our own KTV equipment and I'm pretty sure my children would love to be part of this department when we visit Kidzania the next time.

My 3 working as a team to produce live broadcast news or a variety show like their favorite noontime show "It's Showtime"

Normally, a workplace must have at least two exit routes to have a prompt evacuation of
employees and other building occupants during an emergency. But in Kidzania, there are more than two emergency exits I saw throughout the city which is quite good by the way.

Some establishments like this ART AND DESIGN ACADEMY are still closed. Maybe they will open on August 7.

They also have a beauty salon called KURLZ. perfect for my little arte daughter. So sad, we were not able to try this as well.

More awesome shops and establishments are situated on the second floor of Kidzania Manila.
Yes, they have a second floor!
Remember to bring bottled water for you and your kids so you will not be bothered to locate a store while you're exploring the city.

We weren't able to visit them each because my feet were already killing me from all those walking. But believe me, walking is a great way to lose weight. If you're going to explore Kidzania, make sure you're with a good pair of walking shoes. DO NOT WEAR HEELS.

Be an Arborist at the URBAN GARDEN , which is a professional in the practice of arboriculture, which is the cultivation, management, and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants. They generally focus on the health and safety of individual plants and trees, rather than managing forests or harvesting wood.

Let your kids become pastry chefs for a day here at the GOLDILOCKS station which they can decorate your their pastry with icing, toppings, and sprinkles.

You can also take home with you your cake creations :)

Your children can participate and be part of the CITY CLOCK TOWER Performer
They will Rehearse and present a marching band show at the balcony of the City Clock Tower for visitors

Here, kids can become athletes, cheerleaders, and dancers

They can participate in exciting team sports matches, learn chants to cheer for their favorite sports teams, and break a sweat while jamming and moving to the best beats.

Here at the FARM HOUSE STORE, one can become a Green Grocer or Urban Farmer for a day

Kids will learn the importance of fruits and vegetables by planting, harvesting, and delivering produce.

Parents with toddlers, they can stay here at TOY KINGDOM's Kindergarten Free play if you're already exhausted from the tour.

Here, the toddlers can discover their skills and abilities by playing with toys and this is a good way spend quality time with them.

The COCACOLA BOTTLING PLANT will open it's doors to public this August 7.

Your kids can be a Product Lab Pharma Scientist here at PASCUAL LAB
They can learn how to conduct an experiment and manufacture supplements and medicines.

Let your kids become a Cookie Engineer here at the Jack'nJill CREAM-O Cookie Factory
They can learn how to work in the factory and prepare quality chocolate cookies

CEBU PACIFIC Aviation Academy offers training for junior Pilots , Flight attendants, Cabin crew.
Your kids will receive professional training on tasks that pilots and cabin crew members do before, during, and after each flight.

They told us that this is a real Airplane. Junior Pilots fly the plane on state of the art flight simulators, complete with a pilot uniform and hat.

They also have Games Room in Kidzania which the kids can play cool tabletop games or sing karaoke with friends.

At the R&D Center of PUREFOODS, your kids can be trained and work as Food Technologists.
They will learn how to preserve the goodness of processed meats through different techniques.

Did you know that the people who helped construct and build this entire city-- the employees and construction workers along with their children got to experience to play at this marvelous city last week?
It was truly heartwarming knowing that they let them try this first.

We all know that here in the Philippines, we greatly value spending quality time with our children and the importance of education.

Kidzania Manila believes in the power of play. It will cultivate the kids' intelligence, creativity, and sense of confidence.

Kidzania Manila is open 7 days a week, with one shift Mondays through Thursdays from 9am to 4pm.
Two shifts on weekends ( Friday to Sunday) and national holidays, from 9am to 2pm for the first shift and 3pm to 8pm for the second shift.
