Summer Outdoor Fun at the #ROXOutdoorFestival2016 #ROXPhilippines

If you've always wanted to try something outside of your comfort zone (or just outdoors), then you should've gone to the R.O.X. Outdoor Festival 2016 event happened last weekend, held in one of Metro Manila's beautiful Parks.
Last April 16 and 17, Bonifacio High Street became the home of athletes, weekend warriors, families and friends looking for a great outdoor time.

When R.O.X started back in 2007, their vision ever since was to get everybody outdoors and be active.  Finally, after so many years of planning, they were able to hold the event for 2 years in a row. R.O.X have already gathered 50 of the most exciting brands for this second year and targeted to more than 5,000 people who've attended.
One of the thrilling activities last year was the Last Man Standing and it was a woman who made it last for her record-breaking 8-hour test under the intense heat of the sun. This year, a man was declared as winner succeeding the challenge for 4 hours.

From the moment we arrived, freebies were already available. Light refreshments and snacks were given upon registration. There were thrilling games and challenging crash courses that kept everyone’s adrenaline high. R.O.X's Outside Festival 2016 was definitely a smashing success!

I was so fortunate to try one of their games ( the not so thrilling ones) and won fab prizes. I played their life-size eyes and patches board game (similar to Snakes and Ladders )and instantly won the travel backpack from #PolerStuff!
For families with kids, they were also in on the fun as they did exciting activities, so I made sure I brought my kids and hubby on the second day for them to taste the great outdoor fun! My kids have won travel backpack from Poler Stuff once again!

WE ACCOMPLISHED THE TASK FOR ONLY 2 MINUTES!

FREE BALLOONS FOR EVERYONE FROM QUICKSILVER!
Aside from the games and friendship bracelet-making, kids were in for a treat as they were showed cool outdoor film showings like Happy Feet and Ice Age. There were experienced and fully qualified staff running the activities and managing the day, so there were no worrying thoughts and major concerns regarding the safety of the kids.
Band performances from bands like Up Dharma Down amped up the free-spirited vibe and friendly mood that lasted throughout the festival.
Acquaintances and even strangers were able to converse easily and share their love for the outdoors in a natural setting of green landscapes and fresh air.
Definitely if there was anything that the R.O.X. Outdoor Festival did, it was to share a greater appreciation for the outdoors, and foster a closer knit community amidst the busy, concrete world we live in. There was no shortage of awesome things to do during the special weekend.

Thanks to R.O.X. and Primer Group of Companies who put together the Outdoor Festival. 1. Hi Erica! I was able to visit the venue last Sunday morning after my early morning run which coincided with the NAT GEO RUN as well. I was tempted to try that Wall Climb but felt that running 15KM that morning was enough for the day.

I am glad your family got to enjoy the event. Hopefully I could tag my kids on their next Outdoor Event next year.
