#7Eleven's #7Election Cupdate as of April 26,2016

Approximately a week before the Philippine National Elections, social media is more alive than ever as people aggressively show support for their presidential candidates online.

Who hasn’t posted a passionate comment or post about their presidentiable candidate?
Everyone’s Facebook and Twitter feeds are filled with some level-headed but mostly angry political posts, factual and dubious memes, and other posts that feature heated exchanges from different camps.
It’s getting hot in here!
To keep things chill,
7-Eleven’s fun and unscientific campaign, 7-Election, brings a refreshing way for Filipinos of all ages to support their presidential bets.

“7-Election aims to raise election awareness and allows people to support their candidates in a fun, positive and engaging way,” Lee Esguerra, Marketing Communications Division Head of Philippine Seven Corporation.

Inspired by the slew of quirky Facebook events, 7-Eleven invited customers to their GULPihan at 7-Eleven Libertad event, getting the interest of 28,000 people. This is an unofficial event for our customers to engage discussions about 7-Election, keeping things fun and light.

Everyone – including unregistered voters, kids and foreigners – has a say in this fun and informal poll solely based on the sales of the 7-Election Gulp Cups.

As of April 26, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte still leads the poll taking half of the votes, while the second most bought cup is the Undecided cup followed by Senator Grace Poe, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, Vice President Jejomar Binay, and Secretary Mar Roxas.
