Since it's the women's month, I'll share this to you.
I have been in "full steam ahead" mode since I had children and lately I felt I'd burned out myself from too much stress. Day sleeping was all I ever wanted, you can't even make me take a shower.
In the back of my mind I hear myself say that I have achieved something great, like my children. But most times, I feel like a huge failure to my family. And because of this, I started to become cranky and would not take care of myself. I thought, what's the point?

But I'm so blessed to have an understanding husband and great friends, reminding me that the world is beautiful, and that I am beautiful.
Each of their message for me brings a peaceful understanding  that everything need not be perfect .
"Take good care of yourself and be gentle with it" is something that I need to do first and stick to my head in which, at the time I could not comprehend the statement at all.
Just like what GynePro wants me to do. Wants us women to do.

I remember a co-blogger once told me I was getting bigger and asked me if I was pregnant, I immediately started to panic. My first thought that day: "Did I wear the wrong outfit or did I eat too much sweets again last night that made me look bloated today?" That was the last thing I’d been expecting to hear from anybody.
Laziness has hit me big time and it's already a struggle to look halfway presentable when I go to events, "nice" maybe isn’t even on the plan subconsciously.

With a youngest son who is nearing the 8th year mark, I’m feeling much more "mom" (granny I think would be better. LOL) than "woman" these days. Also, I've had several medical dilemmas since my 3 were born. So with my once "seductive" (lol) body now serving a motherly role, it's absolutely difficult to make a transition to "nice", let alone sexy.
Honestly, plenty would insist I'm not obese or big but I do feel oversized and plumpish on all corners, in the inside mostly (see image below ).

I had the privilege of covering the event of this year's Goldilocks' 10th Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge -- XTREME, held at The Block at SM North EDSA, as ten schools compete to create the most delicious and festive cake.
Since 2006, Goldilocks has been drawing out the most creative cake decorating talents among the youth through their annual Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge (ICDC).

From 71 entries from all over the Philippines, down to only 10 schools, indeed, the competition has transcended school pride, and has become a venue where would-be pastry chefs and bakeshop masters are discovered.

This year’s ICDC drew a particularly large crowd of spectators and I was one of them.
Not many people would get the chance to go behind the scenes of something as exciting as this Goldilocks' event.

Goldilocks to Introduce Widespread Recycling Project

In line with its ongoing commitment towards more environment-friendly operations, Goldilocks recently established a partnership with Bantay Kalikasan, the environmental arm of ABS-CBN Linkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. (ALKFI)

Under the banner of “Bantay Baterya at Bantay Langis”, the country’s number one bakeshop will donate waste materials on a daily basis, including used oil, acid batteries, egg shells, and even fluorescent bulbs.

ALKFI partners Genetron and Motolite will then handle the recycling process, the proceeds of which will be used for various advocacy projects throughout the country.

John Daryl Pitcheller, a Civil Engineering student from Adamson University here in Manila, was recently given the honor of presenting his ground-breaking research on PVC Waste at the International Conference on the Environmental Quality Concern (EQC) in the National Kaohsiung Marine University, Taiwan.

In his presentation, entitled Waste Polyvinyl Chloride as Tensile Reinforcement to Asphalt Pavement, John Daryl proposed that instead of throwing away waste PVC materials, these should be recycled and used as an additive to asphalt to improve the tensile strength of pavements.

The conference panel, and delegates—from all over South East Asia—were impressed. Meanwhile John Daryl came back to the Philippines carrying new knowledge and experiences, not to mention new ambitions.

Hi, dearies!

March really is an exciting month for me( next to December, of course). 

My children got 1 more day of school left in this school year and it's vacation galore for us. While I look forward to not having to get up at the crack of dawn, my concern is making summertime as productive as possible for my kids . 

But what makes us really excited is celebrating Easter. Ever since I became a mom, Easter activities like Egg Hunting has become one of our favorites. A brilliant fun for children of all ages indeed. 

Where do you usually go and have Easter egg hunting or do Easter activities with the kids? 

We celebrate Easter by, of course--observing Mass, then Fun Ranch then a stroll at the mall. It's our 3rd or 4th year to celebrate Easter with the ever generous Fun Ranch , I think. And I'm so grateful for all the joys and privileges they've given us! 

Speaking of Easter Egg Hunting activities, I've gathered a few Easter Events together (again)that might come in handy in finding the perfect location for your whole family. 

But we must not forget the true meaning of Easter -- celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It should be spent in prayer and thanking HIM for what he has done for us.
