F1 Hotel Manila Welcomes the Year of the Earth Dog

F1 Hotel Manila celebrates the Chinese New Year with the traditional Lion Dance as they welcome the Year of the Earth Dog last February 16, 2018.

The event was led by the hotel’s department heads, while Cindy Brual, Hotel Director, instigated the ritual. Red lanterns and envelopes were all over the hotel as these deliver wealth and good fortune. Hotel guests were also invited to see the lion dance performance which took place at F All-Day Dining.

The UP Alumni Association (UPAA), in cooperation with the Sigma Rho Fraternity Alumni Council, is staging a concert entitled “MarAwit… AwitparasaMarawi” on February 27, 2018 (Tuesday), at 6:00 pm, at the UPFI Film Center in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The project is intended to raise funds towards the education of the afflicted children of Marawi City in the wake of its recently ended occupation by Maute Group-ISIS rebels.

A global survey has recognized one of the viral Kwentong Jollibee ads “Crush” and the Christmas digital material “Regalo ni Lolo” as among the world’s most compelling, according to the global ad ranking FeelMore50.
The chart, which features TV ads and digital films from all over the world, was prepared by United Kingdom-based research firm System 1 Group and weighed based on an emotional impact review that were based on the responses of more than 50,000 consumers.

I really don't mind when others tell me I'm kind of superstitious just because I follow some Feng Shui traditions especially for the New Year while we wait it out all the way to midnight on New Year's Eve. Not only it is fun spending the holiday with friends and family with good food and drinks, it is considered highly auspicious to be with the ones you love on that day.

I always feel emotional and sentimental about the New Year. My family used to do extraordinary things especially when my dad was here. I consider our village as one of the best places for celebrating New Year’s Eve – there are honking horns with cheers long before the countdown to midnight, every street comes alive with amazing fireworks display to let go of all the bad spirits and bad luck.

Movies for FEBRUARY 2018 :)

Although the weather still gives the Christmas-y feel, the school days are beginning to get shorter. More people are are heading back to the beach and the stores are starting to fill up with mushy-gushy peeps red roses typically bring. You're right, it's February.
Even if it's not my most favorite month of the year, it starts strong with my long-awaited film - 50 Shades Freed, followed by an upcoming 2018 superhero film, which is the Black Panther! Awesome, right?
