January.
Not the best month for the Yu-B fam health-wise as the hubby and I felt under the weather for several days. It was kind of the longest month ever. But during those days, I was able to reflect a lot about personal and family goals for the new year, and how I was going to achieve them.
Being a mother in this time and age, juggling everything and balancing your needs with your family's can be quite exhausting. I realized that I should learn how to focus on maintaining my mama energy levels so I can do what really matters and do it well.
Since the start of the month, I've been making progress on my health which you can also follow to help you get back on track for your own health goals.
Healthy snacking
I'm sticking more to protein and fiber-rich carbohydrate snacks for energy. I try to eat every three or four hours to keep the blood sugar up and stomach acid at bay. Set your phone to never lose track of time.
Power napping
Do you ever walk into a room only to forget why you went in there? Yep, mommy brain! Now I try to a few minutes of shut-eye for rejuvenation and to supercharge!
Working out
Got my own home treadmill as an investment and I'm running my heart out to JLo’s and 90's hit songs! It gives me and the family more options for exercise since we can't go outside with the pandemic restrictions and all. They say power walks fights fatigue and releases feel-good endorphins. When you're fit, your body works more efficiently, so everything you do will feel easier and you'll be better able to get through your day without hitting a wall of exhaustion.
Loving yourself

Now I'm learning how to meditate and have consistent inner peace regardless of the situation I found myself in. MVPs like us need a breather once in a while, too!
