In anticipation of the influx of motorists in the expressways during Holy Week Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation together with Manila North Tollways Corporation and Tollways Management Corporation have embarked on an annual program of enhancing its usual services to motorists.
This is SAFE TRIP MO SAGOT KO (SMSK), now running on its fourth year in serving the motorists of NLEX, CAVITEX, and SCTEX-SFEX.
The program provides FREE towing service for Class One vehicles, FREE mechanic and first aid service at the fuel stations, FREE calls and WiFi, drinking water, refreshments, sun block and more.
SMSK also provides motorist camps in the three expressways to provide FREE mechanic and first aid services for all motorists.
Starting Monday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will offer a unique experience for Filipinos performing the traditional Visita Iglesia.
The MMDA said it will transport devotees to four churches aboard "bus-ferries" or the 20-foot tugboats fitted with minibus bodies, radio dzBB reported.
It said the four churches that can be reached via ferry include:
- Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in Makati City
- Our Lady of the Abandoned Shrine in Sta. Ana, Manila
- Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Sta. Mesa, Manila
- Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila
A separate report by state-run Philippines News Agency quoted MMDA general manager Corazon Jimenez as saying each of the boats can accommodate up to 30 passengers.
