Garage Celebrates 6 Stylish Years with Street Dapper King Jericho Rosales

I had two events scheduled at the same time on the same day, but I chose to attend the GARAGE Street Dapper Kings 6th Anniversary Party at HYVE in BGC last September 9 and boy, I never expected such a treat!

The annual fashion ball gathered some of the most stylish personalities in the metro, all eager to witness the unveiling of the men’s style magazine’s best-dressed list for 2014.

And yes, Jericho Rosales was literally the shining star of the Garage stable, hands down the standout of the night, lol!

The theme of the evening was RODEO, and guests were seen donning checkered shirts, denim jeans, and shiny boots, fully embracing the rugged yet stylish vibe of the celebration.

My OOTN (Outfit of the Night) was a simple denim long-sleeve top paired with denim shorts.

Regrettably, I was wearing sandals instead of boots.

Wearing boyish boots was actually part of my style growing up, so it was a bit of a sad moment for me not to be seen in a pair that night.

The night was filled with music and unlimited drinks, officially sponsored by Hennessy.

I wasn’t spared from the strong liquor flowing throughout the event. I got to taste a Hennessy cognac mixed with cranberry, but the strength was still quite intense for my palate, so I had to tone it down further with a few ice cubes just to make it more manageable.

Eventually, I switched to soda instead.

Since its inception, GARAGE has become an integral part in shaping the taste and knowledge of Filipino men in the realm of fashion—providing a dossier on the latest trends in men’s style and grooming as well as dispensing inspiration through its avant-garde fashion editorials.

Representative of these stylish Filipino men is best personified by GARAGE’s past best-dressed list which includes prominent male personalities like Piolo Pascual, Dingdong Dantes, Jake Cuenca, Sam Milby, Enchong Dee and more.

The highlight of GARAGE’s Street Dapper King event was the presentation of the year’s best-dressed list which includes Fold Canela, Jeff Ortega, Euric Lumanog, Michael Seifert and Cholo dela Vega.

August issue cover star and best-dressed awardee, JERICHO ROSALES was also honored during the night’s festivities.
The event kicked off with a fashion show directed by Robbie Carmona and sponsored by clothing brand, Levi’s.

The GARAGE Street Dapper Kings 2014 event was sponsored by Levi’s, Hyve, Saga Events, Famous Salon and official drink sponsor, Hennessy.
