For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with the name Brad Go, I promise that after this, you won’t forget this hunky Chinito in a jiffy.
The Hush Project was launched in an intimate gathering of bloggers yesterday, where he performed select tracks from his self-produced album, including his newest single, “I Want You Now.”
Brad Go has always been a creative and artistic person, but his journey toward becoming a musician truly began back in 2005. He made the bold decision to drop out of an Aerospace Engineering program to pursue his dream of becoming a musician, amazing, right? He formed a band and began performing in New York City, but eventually grew tired of it, leading to a dramatic shift that brought him to where he is today.
The exclusive unplugged performance during the launch gave Brad the opportunity to share the making of the album, the inspiration behind the songs, and how a guitar, a passport, and serendipity turned him into a bona fide recording artist.
“Songwriting is a process that consumes every aspect of my life. I usually start with an idea, record it on my phone, and then begin singing whatever comes to mind. Most of my ideas come at the most inconvenient times.”
The story behind The Hush Project began when he was walking home from work late one night in September 2012 and met a girl. It was raining and she didn’t have an umbrella, so he offered to share his. They eventually started dating, although it didn’t work out in the end. Still, the experience inspired him to travel around the world in search of incredible love stories, which he used as inspiration for his album and documentary.
Yes, it wasn’t cheap but as he explained, it was worth the experience.
