How to join?
1. Fill – up an entry form and attach the following:
• P500.00 single or accumulated purchase receipts from any Sta. Lucia Mall tenant
• Photo with description of the chosen villain from movies, tv shows or games
i. Example: Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Maleficent from The Sleeping Beauty, Joker from Batman, Venom from Spiderman, etc.
2. Open to male and female ages 16 to 35 years old.
3. Only the first 17 entrants with complete requirements will be accommodated. Deadline of registration is October 23 or until the 17 entrants is reached whichever comes first.
4. Entrants must come in the chosen / submitted “Villain Characters” Costume. No changing of character / costume is allowed and should be finalized until Oct 23 only (no duplication of character costume shall be allowed). Costumes must be portable and parade-friendly. Connections to electrical sockets will not be available. Daring and very sexy costumes will not be allowed.
5. All entrants must join the 3:00 pm parade. During the parade, entrants are not allowed to show their act. Likewise, Pyrotechnics or any props that may damage any mall facility will not be allowed. None appearance during the parade means disqualification.
6. All entrants should provide own background music, special effects, such as light and sound effect for their 2-minute act. You need to remain in Costume throughout the contest to be eligible for an award.
7. After all the entrants showcased their acts they will have a re-entry on stage for the judges to finalize their scores. Winners need to remain on stage for Photo Op. Judging will be based on the following criteria.
a. ACCURACY (50 points) - this will be based on how the participant achieved the look of the character he/she is portraying, from costume, make-up, line delivery to gestures, basically the overall impact.
b. ATTITUDE / ACT / SHOWMANSHIP (40 points) - If you're dressed up as someone specific, research on them before hand. Get into it! Do anything to be in character. Learn mannerisms, commonly used phrases, etc. The more depth you can add to your character the better.
c. AUDIENCE APPEAL (10 points) – basically the impact of your costume and showmanship to the audience, do some gimmicks to convince the crowd.
8. The judges shall have the sole authority and discretion to select the winners. Entrants under 18 years of age must have permission from a legal guardian to participate.
9. For promotional purposes, entrants allow Sta. Lucia Mall to use their images, both photographs and video.
10. Each entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold Sta. Lucia Mall harmless from any third party claims that might arise during the whole period of the contest.
11. Contest date is on October 28, Saturday, 4:00 pm at Entertainment Center, Building 3.
12. Prizes at Stake:
1st Place Winner P2,500.00 cash + P2,500.00 worth of Gift Certificates plus appliance item
2nd Place Winner P1,500.00 cash + P1,500.00 worth of Gift Certificates plus appliance item
