DLSU Ushers in Christmas Season with Stunning Campus Light Displays

De La Salle University (DLSU) officially welcomed the Christmas season with the lighting of a 16-meter Christmas tree and a captivating video projection show at the iconic St. La Salle Hall on November 27.

The celebration extended across DLSU’s campuses in Laguna and BGC, where the Advent Season opening program and Christmas tree lighting ceremony took place simultaneously. This year’s theme, “Diwa ng Pasko, Nasa Puso ng Bawat Lasalyano,” emphasized the gift of love and the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ.

The evening began with a Holy Mass, followed by a vibrant program showcasing performances from DLSU's culture and arts groups. The celebration culminated in a Christmas concert featuring popular OPM artists such as New:ID, The Ridleys, Over October, and Denise Julia.

In his address, DLSU President Br. Bernard Oca FSC encouraged the Lasallian community to embrace the spirit of Christmas, reflecting on the example set by Jesus Christ. “Just as the colors and lights in our campus decorations shine bright, may each of us find that same light and joy for the upcoming Christmas season. Let us unite with our brothers and sisters, especially those in need, and shine with hope, faith, and love this Christmas,” said Br. Oca.

DLSU’s Christmas festivities continue to inspire unity, compassion, and the true meaning of the holiday season within the Lasallian community.
