The TURISMO Partylist is thrilled to announce the full support of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in its efforts to promote sustainable tourism.
In a productive meeting held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, BARMM Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim extended a warm welcome to TURISMO Partylist Nominee Wanda Tulfo. The two discussed strategies to further develop the region’s growing tourism industry.
BARMM is home to diverse and breathtaking attractions, from the pristine beaches of Basilan and Tawi-Tawi to the awe-inspiring lakes and waterfalls of Lanao del Sur, as well as the stunning grand mosques in Maguindanao. These destinations are fast becoming key tourist spots, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
This year, the region has seen the introduction of commercial flights to select island provinces, making it easier than ever for travelers to explore the hidden gems of BARMM. With easier access and improved safety, the region is poised to attract a new wave of visitors.
“With the opening of BARMM to the tourism market and the easing of crimes in the region, it’s time that we promote and motivate the ‘byaheros’ to visit BARMM and see first-hand the beauty this southernmost region of our country has to offer,” said Wanda Tulfo, TURISMO Partylist Nominee.
The TURISMO Partylist strongly supports the development of tourism in BARMM, recognizing its potential to drive economic growth, attract investment, and create job opportunities for the local communities.
