Ajinomoto Philippines Breaks Ground in Tarlac Factory Project Worth ₱9.1 Billion to Strengthen Food Production in the Philippines

Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation is entering a major new chapter in its long-standing presence in the country with the construction of its third manufacturing facility in Tarlac City.

The development is taking shape inside TARI Estate, a rising industrial-anchored mixed-use hub designed to support large-scale and future-ready business operations.

The project was officially launched through a groundbreaking ceremony that signals a bold step forward for the company’s expansion plans in the Philippines. With a total investment of approximately ₱9.1 billion, the upcoming facility is expected to significantly boost production capacity while improving efficiency across its supply chain.

A Strategic Expansion Built for Long-Term Growth

For more than six decades, Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation has been part of Filipino households, providing seasoning, sauces, and food products that support everyday cooking. This new factory is designed to strengthen that role by ensuring a more stable and scalable supply of its key product lines.

The facility will support the production of well-known items such as AJI-GINISA®, Crispy Fry®, and Sarsaya®, all of which are widely used in local kitchens. By expanding its manufacturing footprint, the company aims to better respond to growing consumer demand while maintaining consistent product availability.

According to APC leadership, the investment reflects a long-term commitment not only to business growth but also to improving food accessibility and innovation in the country’s food industry. The goal is to continue supporting Filipino families with products that make cooking more practical, affordable, and flavorful.

Strengthening Supply Chains and Community Impact

Beyond production, the Tarlac facility is expected to play a key role in optimizing logistics and distribution. With improved manufacturing proximity and capacity, the company aims to reduce supply chain pressure while enhancing efficiency in delivering products nationwide.

The expansion also aligns with the broader vision of the Ajinomoto Group, which focuses on promoting healthier lifestyles while reducing environmental impact across global operations. This includes long-term sustainability targets tied to health, nutrition, and responsible production practices.

Partnership Behind the Development

The groundbreaking event brought together key development and construction partners who are helping bring the project to life. Aboitiz Economic Estates, the developer behind TARI Estate, emphasized the importance of hosting industries that drive regional growth and job creation.

TARI Estate itself is positioned as a major economic driver in Central Luzon, designed to integrate industrial, commercial, and residential components into a connected business ecosystem.

On the construction side, CCT Constructors Corporation is handling development works, bringing technical expertise in delivering large-scale industrial facilities built to meet international standards and operational requirements.

Target Completion and Future Operations

The Tarlac factory is projected to become fully operational by April 2028. Once completed, it is expected to serve as a key production hub for Ajinomoto’s operations in the Philippines, supporting both domestic demand and long-term business resilience.

As the project moves forward, it represents more than just an expansion of manufacturing capacity. It signals continued investment in the country’s food industry, stronger industrial infrastructure in regional areas, and sustained commitment to Filipino consumers who rely on everyday household food products.
