Disney+ is about to bring a fresh dose of workplace chaos, ambition, and friendship drama to your screen with its newest Original comedy from Mindy Kaling.
Titled Not Suitable for Work, the series has officially dropped its trailer and key art ahead of its exclusive premiere on Disney+ Philippines this June 2.
A Fast Paced Story About Ambition, Friendship, and Life in Manhattan
Set in the heart of Manhattan’s stylish Murray Hill neighborhood, Not Suitable for Work follows five highly driven twenty somethings who are fully committed to their careers and only partially prepared for everything else life throws at them.
They are chasing promotions, prestige, and purpose in one of the most competitive cities in the world. But between deadlines, office politics, and personal chaos, they are also learning that success does not come neatly packaged and neither does adulthood.
At its core, the series blends sharp humor with relatable struggles, showing what happens when professional ambition collides with messy personal lives.
Behind the Series
The show is created by Mindy Kaling, known for her signature blend of wit and heartfelt storytelling. She also serves as executive producer alongside showrunner Charlie Grandy, who previously worked on The Sex Lives of College Girls and The Mindy Project. Howard Klein of 3 Arts Entertainment also joins as executive producer.
Production is handled by Kaling International in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, where Kaling and Grandy both hold overall deals.
Meet the Cast Bringing the Chaos to Life
The series features an ensemble cast led by Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay, and Jay Ellis.
Supporting the main story are recurring guest appearances from Victor Garber, Greg Germann, Judy Gold, Ego Nwodim, Harry Richardson, Constance Wu, Laura Bell Bundy, May Hong, Bhavesh Patel, Emilia Suárez, and Michael Benjamin Washington, adding even more energy and personality to the world of the show.
Release Schedule
Not Suitable for Work will launch with its first three episodes on June 2, followed by two new episodes released weekly.
With its sharp writing, relatable characters, and fast moving storyline, the series is shaping up to be one of the most talked about new comedy releases of the season.
