Jollibee has officially launched its latest store in Enrile Boulevard, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, marking a significant addition to the brand's presence in Northern Luzon. This new store not only serves delicious meals but also integrates cutting-edge green technologies, reinforcing Jollibee's commitment to sustainability while continuing to satisfy its loyal customers' cravings.
A Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
“We’re thrilled to bring more joy to the people of Tuguegarao,” said Jon Villanueva, VP-Restaurant Systems of Jollibee Philippines. “Beyond our dedication to serving the best-tasting food, we are equally focused on creating a sustainable future. Jollibee Enrile Boulevard is a testament to this commitment, featuring advanced green technologies that minimize environmental impact, one joyful meal at a time.”
Green Technologies to Minimize Environmental Impact
The Jollibee store on Enrile Boulevard is equipped with several eco-friendly solutions designed to reduce waste and harness renewable energy. Many of these innovations have already been introduced in select Jollibee locations nationwide.
Key sustainability features of the new store include:
Solar Panels: These panels reduce energy consumption by up to 30% and are paired with solar water heaters to support the kitchen's hot water needs.
Energy-Efficient Motors: High-efficiency motors help manage the store’s exhaust systems and improve air circulation in the kitchen. These motors save energy during off-peak hours, which is particularly beneficial for a 24/7 store.
Solar Window Films: These films help regulate internal temperatures and block external heat, contributing to energy savings.
Additionally, the store has upgraded its pylon lights to LED, resulting in an impressive 80% reduction in energy use. Restrooms feature motion-sensor lights and automatic low-flow faucets, ensuring water and energy are only used when necessary.
Wastewater Recycling and Rainwater Harvesting
Jollibee Enrile Boulevard also boasts an advanced wastewater treatment facility that allows the store to recycle and reuse water for non-potable purposes, such as flushing toilets. The store’s rainwater recycling system captures rainwater for use in cleaning and maintaining the store's exterior and watering plants.
Jollibee’s Ongoing Commitment to a Sustainable Future
The Enrile Boulevard store is a key part of Jollibee's broader “Joy for Tomorrow” sustainability initiative, which focuses on creating positive impacts in three areas: food, people, and the planet.
“As we continue to expand our stores across the Philippines, we remain committed to sustainability, ensuring that each new location contributes to a healthier environment and community,” said Bong Filart, VP-Network Development of Jollibee Philippines. “Through these efforts, we aim to continue spreading joy while making a positive difference.”
This sustainable approach ensures that Jollibee is not only a favorite for its food but also for its dedication to a greener, more responsible future.
