Over 2,000 Filipinos Join Home Credit PH’s Inaugural Fun Run – Takbo #ParaSaLife for Wellness

In a powerful demonstration of its commitment to supporting the well-being of Filipinos, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH) hosted its first-ever fun run, Takbo #ParaSaLife, at Parqal in Aseana City.

With over 2,000 participants, the event showcased how the leading consumer finance company goes beyond just financial support, but also empowers Filipinos to live healthier, more balanced lives.

A Movement for Wellness: Takbo #ParaSaLife Takes Flight

Takbo #ParaSaLife wasn’t just a race—it was a celebration of health and wellness, offering 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K categories to accommodate all runners, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Organized in collaboration with WeKenRun, a running group led by renowned marathon coach Ken Mendola, the event captured the essence of holistic well-being by bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together for a shared goal: better health.

The excitement of the event wasn't just limited to participants. Home Credit Philippines executives, partners, and notable guests, such as Lester Cruz, CEO of Singlife Philippines, joined in the fun, showing their support for this important cause. Attendees from Boltech, SM, Xiaomi, Park Access, and Singlife also joined the race, strengthening the sense of community.

Championing Holistic Wellness in the Philippines

Petr Lukosz, Home Credit Philippines’ Chief CRM Officer and 2x Ironman Philippines Champion, highlighted the importance of the initiative. “According to the World Health Organization (WHO), almost 38% of Filipinos are physically inactive, putting them at risk for lifestyle-related diseases. As a trusted ally, Home Credit is dedicated to promoting not only financial inclusion but also physical and mental well-being,” he shared.

Lukosz expressed his joy over seeing people from different walks of life uniting for a common cause: wellness. “Seeing people of all ages and backgrounds come together for this run is truly inspiring. Takbo #ParaSaLife is more than just a race—it’s a movement that we hope will continue beyond today,” he added, promising that this event would become an annual tradition to encourage even more Filipinos to prioritize their health.

Exciting Prizes and a Sense of Achievement

The event offered more than just an opportunity to run—it was a chance to earn exciting rewards. All participants received race shirts, bibs, and loot bags from event partners, with finisher medals being shipped to those who completed their categories. Podium finishers in the 10K, 5K, and 3K categories earned cash prizes, including a grand prize of ₱10,000 for the fastest 10K runner.

Home Credit and its partners also made sure the event was even more rewarding, with prizes such as gift certificates for ON Running Shoes, Suunto, smart home gadgets from Xiaomi, and insurance vouchers from Singlife. These prizes served as a testament to Home Credit's commitment to holistic well-being, making every stride during Takbo #ParaSaLife even more worthwhile.

One participant, Joma Unabia, a first-time fun run attendee, shared his personal journey: “This was my first time joining a fun run, and I never imagined I could complete the 10K category—but I did! It was such an incredible experience. Thanks to Home Credit, I got to challenge myself and achieve something I never thought possible. This event has inspired me to stay active, set bigger fitness goals, and make running a part of my lifestyle.”

Looking Ahead: More Runs, More Wellness

Takbo #ParaSaLife was such a success that Home Credit Philippines is already planning for next year’s edition, promising a bigger and even more exciting event. This initiative serves as a reminder that taking small steps toward a healthier lifestyle can lead to big changes, especially in a country where nearly 40% of Filipinos remain physically inactive, according to WHO data.

The event’s success was made possible by the support of valuable partners, including WeKenRun, Aseana City, Parqal, Singlife, Surge Lifestyle, Suunto, Xiaomi Philippines, Park Access, Skintech, Dole, Silka, Corbridge, Oishi, and many others who share Home Credit's commitment to promoting health and wellness.

Through events like Takbo #ParaSaLife, Home Credit Philippines is proving that living your best life is not just about financial empowerment—it’s about nurturing every aspect of your well-being. And as the company continues to champion the health of Filipinos, it is clear that the steps taken today will lead to a healthier, more fulfilling tomorrow.
