But first, have you ever been to the Seaside Boulevard in Pasay lately?
New cafes and restaurants in this area keep popping up so fast we can hardly keep up.
Of course, people love to eat and explore various restaurants whether the economy is doing well or struggling. Because of this, restaurant owners are constantly finding new ways to improve and create unique establishments that will ultimately bring people in on a regular basis.
Exuding character and uniqueness, Movie Stars Café offers a memorable dining experience you won’t get anywhere else.
(Ever so grateful to Mommy Bloggers Philippines for all the event opportunities like this for us mommies!)

"And lo, the beast looked upon the face of beauty, and beauty stayed his hand. And from that day forward, he was as one dead." — King Kong
Frankly speaking, we have been eyeing this one-of-a-kind restaurant for months now. Fortunately, an extra slot was given for me to try out the place with the family.
I was advised to be there at 7 p.m. because that’s when the real fun starts, but the sheer volume of drivers on a Friday caused a long delay that had me practically chewing my fingernails out of frustration.

I’m a sucker for movies. Watching movies for me is like a momentary escape from reality.
Appreciating the talent of the actors and production staff in creating a movie is truly a complete work of art.
So when we got there, I was really in awe of everything and everyone I laid my eyes on.

I was unfortunate enough to visit the place without any extra batteries for my cellphone camera, despite anticipating that I would be taking as many photos as possible.
So please forgive me for these poor snapshots of the location.
Please, please don’t make the same mistake I did, bring extra gadgets as much as you can.

Beautifully lit, the space featured comfortable, warm, and rich furnishings that were perfectly balanced.
I was drawn like a magnet to the movie memorabilia and posters scattered and mounted on wooden walls, with props displayed in every corner of the restaurant.
The area is surrounded by four big screens and hundreds of monitors playing movies simultaneously, along with thousands of special lights showcasing first-class performances on the center stage. Performers in movie-inspired costumes are set to perform every 30 minutes, every day until midnight.

I really did enjoy the show and would definitely recommend it, especially for children.
When it comes to singing, dancing, and stage performances, Filipinos are amazingly multi-talented and do these things spectacularly well.

Thankfully for us, we were led closer to the stage where we were able to view this truly beautiful set. The set captures the essence and feel of an affluent entertainment club.
Ms. Inah asked us to patiently wait a moment while the table was being set up.

Singing “Be Our Guest” was never this fun, and my kids were thrilled to see Lumière and Cogsworth, along with little Chip, live on stage. They were not really fans of mascots, but this was an exception.
During dinner, an impressive buffet had been set up for the audience, with a life-sized T-Rex spotted at their so-called “Dino Buffet.”
The atmosphere was full of fun and excitement while enjoying a well-spread feast during the night.

For our culinary pleasure, we preferred an a la carte menu rather than the buffet blowout believing positively on not exceeding. But of course, we exceeded and paid extra.

We opted for PIER21, hot clam chowder served in a bread bowl.
YAKISOBA, a combination of beef and chicken, mixed vegetables, and quail eggs.
The JACKSON FIVE consisted of chicken lollipop, buffalo chicken wings, almond chicken tenders, chicken satay, and chicken tenders, served with honey mustard dressing, buffalo sauce, blue cheese dressing, thousand island dressing, and vegetable crudités.
Iced tea and coffee.
