5 Reasons why I love Aquaria Water park in Calatagan, Batangas

Since it is already mid-April, I took advantage of this hot weather by joining a beach bloggers getaway, also to share the adventures on my blog. Perfect beach session for my family is usually the latter part of the year, when the weather is not so hot. But we know that April and May are the most popular months to go out on the beach and soak up some sunshine, so might as well enjoy this time.

#TeamAquaria left Starbucks early on Thursday morning, to the sound of cars honking because the traffic was horrible already. I heard that the Champ Manny Pacquiao would go on a motorcade that day..that early. So I made sure I left the house at the crack of dawn and stayed at the coffee shop where the bloggers would meet.
We've arrived at Aquaria Water Park after almost 4 hours of travel time but still early, which gave everyone the chance to wonder around the tropical wonderland built within the Playa Calatagan Residences. The place is managed by Fuego Hotels and no overnight accommodations just yet. The condotel will rise on 2018.
Guests were treated like VIPs , with cold drinks and towels given upon entry.

The weather was perfect for a whole day beach fun. We dropped off our bags at one of the romantic cabanas on the beach and spent the morning sightseeing and exploring the 525-meter of white sand.
You can spot a few small booths throughout the beach where you can buy snacks and beach essentials.

We began with very basic things like a nice snorkeling session, getting sand on the feet and doing selfies for our blogs. It's true that when you're in a paradise, the heat on your skin won't really matter.

Aquaria Water Park is indeed a wonderful place to kick back and relax, especially if you just want to sit somewhere nice and watch the world go by.
The Aquaria staff and crew are absolutely friendly and regardless of what you wanted to do, they did their best to ensure that everything went smoothly.

I got nothing bad to say about this place. Really. So what other good reasons should I share to you?

Did I mention THE BEACH?

Bloggers immensely enjoyed the beach part. It's as if the beach went on and on forever. With drinks always available because the restaurant is just near and the staff ensures everyone always has a cold something on their hand. Yeah, almost like a paradise. For it to stay like that, please throw your empty bottles and cans in proper places.

They let us stay in one of the cozy wooden cabanas with drapes at the beach front while we were creating good memories with new blogger friends. The cost is 1,200 pesos but can accommodate 6 to 8 people. And the front row view of the sea was spectacular from our spot.

We tried some of their thrilling beach water activities like Kayaking, Jet Ski Ride (3500 per hour), Banana Boat Ride, Pedal Boat, and the Buzz Bomb! Me riding the BuzzBomb is like discovering a cure for cancer, I know. A miracle, right? Honestly, my mind and body yearn for so long for such thrilling activities like that but my heart just won't approve.

There were beach chairs and umbrellas for the a quiet chilling out session. At high noon, the air can be quite stifling but we basically lazed away the day just soaking in the sea.
But make sure to re-apply your sunblock all the time. You would be surprised at how fast you can get sunburned without noticing it and that would ruin your trip.

THE FOOD!

The food at THE SANDS Restaurant for me was divine (I think I gained a few pounds that day). You really can't believe how hungry you can get just by relaxing on the beach and doing all the water activities but I guess its all that fresh air and sunshine.

We feasted on wonderful local specialties and seafood dishes like this fried fish (which I forgot the name), ribs, BBQ, and spicy buffalo wings. They served us yummy Guava lemonade and mushroom soup.
Their all-time best-sellers are also available like Bilao Fiesta, which is priced at 695 pesos good for 5 people.  You can also have the seafood fiesta priced at 795 pesos that includes various mix of Filipino favorites such as daing na bangus or tilapia, liempo or lechon kawali, squid, or shrimp.
Both platters include 5 cups of rice served with salted egg, talong, tomato, onion, and bagoong alamang.

THE POOL!

The Swimming pool is one of the exciting places at Aquaria Water Park. kids could jump in anytime as an alternative to the beach.
Aquaria Water Park has 1 big pool that is divided into 5 sections.
The Kiddie Pool , The Cove 1, The Cove 2, The sunken pool bar, and the main big pool -- where the iconic spiral water slide is located.
The Slide is the main attraction of the Aquaria Waterpark, which is 40ft high or equivalent to a 3-storey building.
Although I did not have the chance to try it, I know that this was an enjoyable ride to attend, because most people ( me included ) were completely afraid of it. The thought of me smacking the back of my head on the slide and knocking me unconscious was quite overwhelming. I know it is safe but I just left it to those people equipped with iron hearts.

Those daredevils who want to try this thrill ride, you must be at least 4ft to use the giant slide. Sorry, kiddos!
For you to be able to enjoy this, you need a partner. And a floater is a must. The landing area is 6ft and only 8 seconds for you to land.

AQUARIA BATH HOUSE!

1 thing I look for in a resort is the bathroom. It cannot be ignored if you desire a luxury hotel-style or Spa-like. This may not have the poshest look but since they have numerous wide shower rooms with strong shower head, I think this place is truly perfect for families. They even put a wooden bench inside the shower room!

AMAZING, CLOSE UP VIEW OF THE SUNSET!

You just gotta do it.
Chase the sunset.
There's something very peaceful and hypnotic about sunsets that put everything in perspective. The moment you see the setting sun, you'll be instantly reminded of how beautiful the world is.
In Aquaria Water Park, sunset viewing is extra exceptional.
Since I cannot shoot well and don't own an expensive camera, might as well enjoy the moment using my handy smartphone and capture the breathtaking sunset and the sun chasers as well.

I had fun at the Aquaria bloggers trip, which was full of amazing experiences with new found friends.
I met nice new bloggers and got closer with the old ones, and it was fun to see the way everyone slowly realized how much fun it was to be a kid again, doing all those activities.
See you soon, Aquaria!
