Weekly grocery shopping excursion is our family thing. Though my husband works long hours outside Manila during weekdays, I see to it that we go there as a team, making it our quality family time on the weekends. The BIG Cook Off held at Shopwise Cubao was a fun event and it was a battle between great blogger chefs vs Apicius Culinary School students creating the World’s Best Cuisine using world class ingredients from Shopwise. Entries were Stuffed Salmon and Prawns with Teriyaki Sauce by Jobert Diaz of Schoolers; Pan Seared Honey Lemon Chicken Combination with Assorted Vegetables by Arvin Fernandez of Schoolers; Thai Bagoong Rice by Mommy blogger Jinkee Umali ; Prawn Halang-Halang Ramen by Nathaniel Uy of the The Hungry Chef.

The panel of judges was lead by celebrity chef JP Anglo (of MasterChef Philippines fame). The last leg was held at the newly opened Shopwise Circuit and Nathaniel Uy was hailed as the grand champion for the blogger category who took home P20,000 cash prize and P5,000 worth of groceries from Shopwise. Indeed a mouth-watering event that has left us hungry for more!
