Top Places to Visit on Canada’s West Coast

8:14 PM

Canada is one beautiful country.

From west coast to east coast, it’s hard to find an area you wouldn’t want to visit. With that being said, there are a few places you should start.

Here we will hone in on Canada’s west coast and which places you should start with in this area.

Lake Louise

Lake Louise is one of the lakes situated in Banff National Park. It might be the best one though due to its vibrant turquoise color. The views on the lake are incredible as Lake Louise is surrounded by the Canadian Rockies.

The best part is you can experience Lake Louise in all seasons. In the warmer weather months you can take out your canoe or kayak, and in the winter enjoy some ice skating on the lake.

Vancouver

Vancouver is a West coast seaport nestled in British Columbia. Vancouver is easily Canada’s most diverse city. Vancouver really has it all. It’s surrounded by mountain ranges and has a thriving arts and music scene.

In Vancouver you can enjoy various foodie hotspots and nightlife bars, but there are plenty of other outdoor and indoor activities to enjoy like walking Stanley Park, exploring Granville Island, and even browsing the Vancouver Aquarium.

You may leave Vancouver but immediately start searching Vancouver homes for sale.

Calgary

Calgary is probably Canada’s most similar city to those in the Southern United States like Texas. Calgary is a city situated in Alberta that’s never shook it’s Western roots. It’s nicknamed “Cowotwn.”

With that information, you absolutely need to experience Calgary’s July rodeo and festival. Since that only happens once a year, you should also check out the Calgary Zoo, the revolving restaurant in Calgary Tower (awesome!), and Winsport to enjoy some skiing, snowboarding, and ice hockey.

Yoho National Park

Yoho National Park is worth the trip just to experience the multiple waterfalls themselves. Yoho National Park is an amazing hiking area due to it’s vertical rock walls and high mountain peaks. The natural blue water is also a sight to see. You’ll gain some great pictures here.

Whether you are there to hike or sightsee, Yoho National Park will deliver the goods.

Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park is known for its elevation range. Due to that you will see a lot of beautiful wildlife here. There is no way to really explain what you will see in Jasper Park. It’s one of Canada’s largest National Parks ranging over 11,000 square kilometers. Take a minute to Google Jasper National Park and view the images. The rest will be history. You will be planning your trip to Jasper National Park immediately.
