IKEA Unveils STOCKHOLM 2025 Collection in the Philippines with 93 New Designs
Design lovers in the Philippines have a fresh reason to visit IKEA, as the global home furnishing brand unveils 93 new pieces from its iconic STOCKHOLM collection.
Now available at IKEA Philippines in Mall of Asia and online, this latest edition celebrates four decades of Scandinavian craftsmanship, timeless aesthetics, and the beauty of everyday living.Celebrating the great indoors with Swedish soul
More than just furniture, the STOCKHOLM collection has always stood for pieces that tell a story, ones that become part of daily rituals, family traditions, and quiet moments. Since its debut 40 years ago, the collection has evolved through eight editions, each offering a fresh yet familiar take on Scandinavian design that balances form, function, and affordability.
This year, STOCKHOLM returns with its largest and most diverse selection yet. The 2025 collection includes furniture, textiles, lighting, and accessories that showcase natural materials like solid wood, rattan, wool, and mouth-blown glass. Each item is crafted to blend into modern homes while bringing warmth, texture, and a sense of timeless style.
Scandinavian design rooted in quality and craftsmanship
The latest STOCKHOLM range features pieces that are designed to last. Materials were selected not just for their aesthetic value but also for how they age over time, developing character and depth. Whether it’s a handwoven wool rug or a glass chandelier, each item reflects IKEA’s commitment to sustainable design and enduring quality.
Creative Leader Karin Gustavsson explains, “The STOCKHOLM collection proves that high-quality design can be accessible. Every piece was created with care, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern needs. It’s a no-compromise collection where durability meets beauty.”
IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager Ricardo Pinheiro adds, “This collection was designed with real homes in mind, affordable, long-lasting, and perfect for Filipino spaces, whether it’s a small condo or a spacious family house.”
Highlights from the STOCKHOLM 2025 collection
Developed by three Swedish designers with distinct perspectives, the STOCKHOLM 2025 collection reflects the natural and urban landscapes of its namesake city. Earthy tones meet rich textures in a curated range that feels both cohesive and individual.
Key pieces include:
- Two signature sofas: Ola Wihlborg’s modular velvet sofa—designed for comfort without needing extra cushions, and Nike Karlsson’s foam-free pine and rattan sofa, which uses natural latex and coconut fiber for a soft yet structured feel.
- Handcrafted rattan furniture: Karlsson also revisits the brand’s popular rattan cabinet, introducing a new sliding-door design woven entirely by hand.
- Bentwood chairs and solid wood tables: These pieces emphasize detailed craftsmanship and smart construction, using traditional woodworking techniques for lasting durability.
- Textiles inspired by nature: Designer Paulin Machado brings the Scandinavian forest indoors with her collection of 100% wool rugs, Merino wool blankets, and printed lampshades, all inspired by seasonal shifts and natural elements.
- Tableware and decorative accents: Glazed ceramic plates, mouth-blown glass vases, and black amorph ceramic centerpieces round out the collection, bringing both practicality and personality to dining spaces.
Designed for real homes: IKEA’s Democratic Design philosophy
The STOCKHOLM 2025 collection is a strong representation of IKEA’s Democratic Design approach, which prioritizes five essential elements: form, function, quality, sustainability, and affordability.
This design philosophy ensures that every product is not only beautiful and useful but also environmentally responsible and priced within reach. It’s the driving force behind IKEA’s goal to improve everyday life through thoughtful, accessible design.
