Sweet Endings with My Cadbury Barkada
In my own galaxy and timeline, I’m known as Peter Quill, a real-life superhero and adventurer. Not exactly “interstellar,” but you get the idea. wink
I was “abducted” from Mother Earth at a young age by a “husband.” No dramatic escape attempts needed. Hah!
After several years, I ended up forming an unlikely team of my own cosmic misfits, my very own barkada, if you will, who somehow became the envy of the entire galaxy.
Now I’m constantly on the run from all sorts of dangerous enemies while trying to protect them… but truth be told, I also need them just as much to survive.
We’ve traveled far and wide together through many different times in search of the perfect place to call home.
A bit of chaos is usually expected when you’re traveling with these youngsters in a foreign land, but to my surprise, everything went rather smoothly and breezily.
Because it was a foreign land for us and we were all excited to explore the new place, we never let fear take over.
Cowards weren’t part of the plan.
We went above ground and underground, seeing things for the very first time. Not a single complaint was heard, and they never once left my side and I never left theirs.
But when life became unsteady, like being out on rough seas, we simply kept paddling the boat of fate.
The waves kept coming, and there was no easy escape in sight. At times, we felt lost along the way, but in reality, those very waves were guiding us through to another day.
Grateful for the sweet little luxuries like sharing a big bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk after an exhausting journey through life. It’s a simple mood booster, but also a comforting way to end the day on a sweet note that my own barkada always looks forward to.
Peter Quill:
“So here we are: a thief, two thugs, an assassin, and a maniac.
But we’re not going to stand by as evil wipes out the galaxy.
I guess we’re stuck together… partners.”
And I’m stuck with these three, with a huuuge Cadbury 🙂
