Move over Piolo Pascual, there's a new Filipino-American singer-songwriter sensation in town.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the name Brad Go, I promise after this, you'll definitely not forget this hunky chinito in a jiffy.
The Hush Project was launched in an intimate gathering of bloggers yesterday, where he performed select cuts from the self-produced album, including his newest single "I Want You Now".
Brad Go has always been a creative , artistic person but his journey towards becoming a musician really began back in 2005.
He decided to drop out of an Aerospace Engineering Program, to pursue his dreams as a musician! Amazing, right?
He got a band and started to perform in New York City but grew tired of it and fast forward to today--he made a change dramatically.
The exclusive unplugged performance during the launch gave Brad the opportunity to talk about the making of the album, the inspiration behind the songs, and how a gutiar, a passport and serendipity turned him into a bona fide recording artist.
"Songwriting is a process that consumes every aspects of my life.
I usually start with an idea, record them on my phone and start singing whatever comes to mind. most of my ideas come at the most inconvenient times."
The story and inspiration behind The Hush Project started when he was walking home from work late one night in September of 2012 and met a girl.
It was raining and didn't have an umbrella with her so he offered to share his.
They eventually started dating, although did not work out, He was inspired to travel around the world in search for incredible love stories to use an inspiration for his album with documentary.
Yes it was not cheap but worth the experience he explained.
Sadly, i was not able to sing with him during the launch. Nervousness struck.
But we did enjoy the songs he shared with us that night that truly showed a lot of potential.
He's a complete package.
Sings,writes, and produces his own songs, plays different instruments, and even makes his own music videos.
Seriously, I love his songs.
