Why #Cerelac is as Natural as a Mother's Love

One of the hardest things about being a mom? Caring for babies.
It does not get more serious than that because you're handling a baby, a tiny human being.
Not to mention their bodies so small, so delicate, so sensitive ..so basically it's acceptable for them to be demanding creatures, agree?
They demand so much of your time, attention, and most especially the nutrition.
As a mom, we're very careful and picky about what goes into the tummies of our babies. We always want to make sure we're always giving them the best and that what we are giving them is correct, and what we're giving them is enough.
So, this is actually one of the reasons why we were invited to a fun event held at Earth Kitchen in BGC.
Though my 3 kids are bigger now, I still have a lot of questions in mind regarding their specific nutrition needs. I might add another one, you never know :)
The Cerelac's media kick-off has definitely answered some of the questions I have in my mind for years and finally laid out to rest.

So, here's what I learned about complementary feeding (scientific view):

  • You should start feeding the babies at 6 months old when they can sit with support. It is developmentally appropriate, breastmilk can no longer keep up nutritional requirements, improvement of the gut of Microbiome for a healthy immune system. Gut of Microbiome is the mixture of different bacteria inside the tummy. So you need to give the kids a variety of foods.
  • Whatever you feed your baby starting at 6 months will carry on until the they become older. Start with 1 kind of food to check if they have allergies then move to mixed vegetable, meat, and rice cereal.
  • New studies shows that more energy dense food = more weight gain.
  • Fat is good! But you have to know what kind of fat to give. Give them avocado, fatty fish, coconut, nuts.
  • Feed them with IRON-rich complementary foods for brain development. Since I'm anemic myself, I often experience difficulty in concentration in whatever I do. It's vital to give them IRON-rich foods while they're young. You can give them red meat, cereals, green veggies.
  • No strict rule regarding the baby's progress on food consistency. It always depends on your child responds to feeding.
Truly, a mother’s love knows no boundaries and this is evident in every single thing we do for our kids. I realized that when it comes to our baby’s health, we won’t settle for anything less than the best.

That is why my family only trust Cerelac for years now, as it gives the kids the additional nutritional requirements when they were just older infants, plus Cerelac has iron which help them be active and full of vitality.

For 150 years, the makers of CERELAC products are committed to helping mothers shape the best lives for their babies, going as far as proactively informing them on the newest processes in manufacturing baby foods.
They make sure that the produce used in making CERELAC is of the highest possible quality.
With the understanding that solid food for babies have to be treated more  delicately as babies are more vulnerable than adults, the makers of CERELAC take great care in storing their ingredients before carefully selecting which ones to use.

Why CERELAC is the best?

This ensures that the freshness of the product is retained for long periods of time. It also safeguards the baby food from any harmful bacteria that may come into contact.
  • Cerelac has already seven exciting flavors to help make meal times more nutritious and extra special for your bundles of joy. But we love WheatBanana and MILK best.
