Smart Snacking Suggestions | King Sue

Snacks are mini meals. It helps keep your energy and mind alert until your next full meal. On weekdays, you’re probably just having the stuff in your school canteen or office cafeteria but you have the choice to make your weekends extra special with simple but delicious snacks.
KING SUE shares six easy-to-do recipes so you and your loved ones could snack smarter :


KING SUE PANDESAL MUFFIN PIZZA 
King Sue believes that an interesting way to enjoy the favorite Filipino staple bread, pandesal, is to take it a notch higher and make pocket pizzas with it.


Ingredients: 
3 pcs. Big Pandesal, 250grams King Sue Hawaiian Ham, 1 big Tomato, ½ cup Mozarella Cheese grated, Fresh Basil, Olive oil.  Cooking Time: 7 Minutes


Cooking Directions: 
Remove the top part of the bread and remove the bread inside. Put in the sliced tomato, slices of  King Sue Hawaiian Ham, and grated Cheese. Put in a toaster for a few minutes or until the cheese is melted. To serve, top with basil and drizzle with olive oil

CREAMY CHORIZO TAPENADE WITH PANDESAL CHIPS 
Got any pandesal leftover from breakfast? 
A great way to enjoy them is to toast it and dip it into this King Sue’s version of tapenade.


Ingredients: 
1 pkg. King Sue Chorizo Bilbao, chopped (70 grams), 1 pkg. Cream Cheese, ½ cup Mayonnaise, 1 tbsp. Minced Onion, 1 tbsp. Chopped Chives, 2 tbsp. Parmesan Cheese. Cooking Time: 7 Minutes


Cooking Directions
Prepare all ingredients in individual containers. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese and mayonnaise thoroughly. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. 

TIP: 
You can also use a food processor in doing this. Just dump everything in the food processor pulse.

KING SUE SWEET HAM AND CORN FRITTERS
If you want something more substantial to munch on while watching your favorite afternoon primetime show, King Sue suggests you try this.


Ingredients: 
250 gms King Sue Sweet Ham (diced), 2 cups vegetable oil (frying), 1 can kernel corn, 3 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1  tsp cayenne pepper, 1 white onion (finely diced), 2 cups all-purpose flour, 4 tbsp cornstarch  1 tsp baking powder. Cooking Time: 10 Minutes


Cooking Directions: 
Heat oil in pan.Whisk together eggs, milk, cayenne pepper, flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Add ham and onions and season accordingly. Scoop out rounded tablespoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil one at a time. The drops should form a loose layer on the top of the oil. Lower the heat and fry until the drops of batter are dark golden brown. Remove the beignets from the oil and place them on a towel. Serve with corn tidbits on top.

KING SUE CHORIZO BILBAO AND FENNEL PIZZA
If you’re tired of the usual pizza delivery, King Sue has a solution: make one at home! 


Ingredients: 
2pcs King Sue Chorizo Bilbao (sliced thinly), 2pcs Large Whole Wheat Tortilla, 1/3 cup Tomato Sauce, 1 cup Assorted Cheese (mozzarella, parmesan and cheddar), 1/2 cup Caramelized Fennel, 1/2 cup Alfalfa Sprouts. Cooking Time: 20 Minutes


Cooking Directions: 
Ready all ingredients in individual containers. Lay tortilla on a baking sheet lined with foil. Spread half of the tomato sauce into the tortilla. Arrange sliced chorizo on top as you please then sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a 450 degree Fahrenheit oven for 12-15 minutes or cheeses have melted and browned. Top with caramelized fennel and alfalfa sprouts before serving or slicing. 
TIP: 
You can use any kind of tomato sauce, or even spaghetti sauce to make your pizza more flavorful.
