What We Did At SM Masinag's Unplugged And Play!

For some, summer vacation means less bonding time because more gadget time for the kids.
Noooo way! Not with this momma!

Technology maybe great, right? Since I use it for work, at the same time it can be a great teaching tool for the kids.
But now that the school year has ended, they have more time to use it excessively at home. But I noticed that when they use their gadgets a lot, they would often argue and get upset about things so quickly. I do remind them about the importance of using gadgets and being responsible. We mommas should be consistent and firm with our house rules. Switching off the WIFI connection for a certain period of time is quite effective. Then I usually remind them to stop for few hours and do other things. Also, we watch movies from Netflix or Hooq and ask them to hide their gadgets somewhere to have a better focus.
It's a good thing that some of the malls nationwide are hosting different exciting summer activities that will keep away the little ones from electronic devices for a while, to be able to fully enjoy the summer with the whole family.
I'm really glad me and my kids took part of this year's Unplugged and Play by SM City Masinag. The mall's outdoor parking area was transformed into a huge outdoor playground for the kids and the kids at heart like myself. They are promoting undistracted family bonding through an outdoor summer fair without any gadgets just pure fun activities.

We tried the Huge Jousting Challenge, Giant Soccer, Jumbo obstacle course, ball pit arena, and rappelling. Too bad we weren't able to experience the plus size boxing and extra sticky wall. Kids went crazy when Jollibee and Mr. Yum did a Switch It Up Danc Challenge up on stage. Sm Masinag also gave out summer treats and surprises for everyone.

If you want your kids to try the Unplugged and Play, they will make a stop at SM City San Mateo on May 11, that's tomorrow and SM City Marikina on May 18.

At SM Supermalls, #EverydayIsPlayday !
