Beko Champions Sustainability with Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan and Pawikan Conservation Efforts

As the global call for sustainability intensifies, taking actionable steps has never been more important.

Beko, a European home appliance brand, is leading the charge by supporting the Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan: Earth Run 2024 and the Pawikan Conservation Center, making a meaningful impact on sustainability and community empowerment.

The final leg of the elemental run series on December 7 brought together over 8,000 participants, all united by their passion for running and commitment to environmental care. Beko supported the runners by providing free coffee and fans to aid in their recovery after the long race.

Beko’s support goes beyond event sponsorship. In partnership with Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan, Beko visited the Pawikan Conservation Center in Morong, Bataan, where they helped release more than 100 newly hatched baby pawikans (marine turtles) into the sea. These turtles are crucial to the ecosystem, helping maintain ocean balance, sustain coral reefs, and transport vital nutrients to other bodies of water.

During the visit, Beko representatives participated in orientation sessions to better understand conservation efforts. Additionally, Beko donated essential home appliances to support the center’s staff and patrollers.
