Promil Pre-School i-shine 3 hosts revealed. Angel Locsin joins as mentor.
The spotlight is once again on the next generation of Filipino talent as Promil Pre-School I-Shine Talent Camp gears up for its much-awaited Season 3, launching on June 28 at 10:00 AM. This season brings a fresh wave of inspiration with acclaimed actress Angel Locsin joining the roster of mentors, alongside respected industry figures Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy of G-Force and music icon Zsa Zsa Padilla.
The official media launch was held at the 9501 Restaurant inside ABS-CBN, hosted by Marie Lozano, with several celebrities in attendance including Dimples Romana, Matteo Guidicelli, and Xian Lim. The event offered a first look at what promises to be another meaningful and exciting chapter for young Filipino performers.
For over 25 years, Promil Pre-School has supported the development of children’s talents by emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, parental guidance, and early nurturing of skills. The I-Shine Talent Camp continues this advocacy by providing a platform where young hopefuls can grow in confidence and showcase their abilities in singing, dancing, and acting.
Angel Locsin shared her approach as a mentor, emphasizing the importance of understanding each child’s individuality. She explained how she studies their strengths and weaknesses to help enhance their skills while building confidence. For her, mentorship is about guidance, patience, and helping children become more open and expressive.
Reflecting on her own journey, she credited her past mentors for shaping her career and teaching her perseverance. She hopes to pass on the same values by becoming a supportive and positive role model for this season’s I-Shiners.
Teacher Georcelle also highlighted the importance of strong foundations in talent development. She shared that she often reminds parents to focus on the basics and consistent practice, stressing that there are no shortcuts to success, especially in performing arts.
This season introduces new segments designed to further enrich the children’s experience. One of the highlights is “I-Shine Buzz,” where Xian Lim accompanies the young participants to professional workshops in acting, singing, and dancing at institutions such as PETA, UP College of Music, and the G-Force Dance Center.
Another exciting addition is the “Red Curtain Performances,” where the I-Shiners showcase their talents in front of an audience. The most anticipated segment, however, is the chance for the children to perform alongside their mentors—an experience designed to inspire confidence and excellence on stage.
Audience participation also plays a bigger role this season through wildcard voting. From a shortlist of 30 finalists featured on the official microsite, viewers can vote for their favorites in singing, dancing, and acting. The top three per category will join nine finalists selected by Wyeth Philippines and ABS-CBN, completing the Top 12 I-Shiners.
These finalists will undergo a series of workshops in institutions that have helped shape some of the country’s most successful performers. The journey will culminate in a grand finale performance featuring the children together with their mentors and families.
Promil Pre-School I-Shine Talent Camp will also be giving away over ₱1 million worth of prizes, along with a management contract from ABS-CBN and Promil Pre-School for the Grand I-Shiner who earns the highest score.
Previous winners, including Lukas Enrique Magallano (2012) and Yesha Camille (2013), have gone on to appear in various television projects, proving how the program continues to open doors for young talent in the Philippines.
