Yamaha Motor Philippines Partners with UAAP

Last May 26, 2014, the leading in the motorcycle industry, Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc., formally launched their partnership with the University Athletic association of the Philippines at Yzone in Ortigas.

Over the years, Yamaha Motors aims to present their customers innovative and unique riding experience and with that, their clients are being empowered with passion giving them exceptional value and satisfaction of the customers.
Yamaha Motor Philippines recently has the largest market share for the AT or Automatic category.
To those who are not familiar, AT or Automatic is a kind of category for the motorcycle and Yamaha has been very big in that division.
When Sales General Manager , Mr. Romy tan started at Yamaha 7 years ago, the Mio Sporty brand has been there even since and he said that they truly have captured most of the market share regarding that section. This year, they would like to make it even stronger by having a partnership with the University Athletic Association of the Philippines that has a strong support.

They will continue to give exclusive experience to everyone by providing pioneering products and lifestyle events such as achieving pre-satisfactory of the clients because they are aligning to most of the universities with college students as their main target for that.
They believe that the result for this partnership will give the value of the customers to make it more exciting and can stay on top in the AT division.
UAAP board member , Mr. Rodrigo Roque recalled the UAAP history and discussed some of them like in the year 1930-31, it was a big year for the top 3 universities like NU, UST and UP that initially became the UAAP.
Founding members like NU, UST, UP and FEU was formally organized back in September of 1930. MCU, UM, Adamson University and UE respectively joined as well during the 50's but only Adamson and UE attained a regular status in UAAP.
It was then followed by ATENEO in the 70's and it is then complete with the coming of DLSU in the late 80's.
For a successful 77 years of UAAP and now with partnership with Yamaha, they hope to attain more success in the coming years.
Head, Licensing Division of ABS-CBN Corporation , Ms. Karen Coloma mentioned that
ABS-CBN is proud to be an instrument in bringing together a world class motorcycle manufacturing company like Yamaha with the country's biggest university sports league , the UAAP.
They have witnessed on how the sports league has grown over the years.
She furthered by sharing an experience in recent history-- how they already enjoyed unprecedented growth of ratings in the national television.
She pointed out never before seen audiences filling up the arenas wherein the UAAP has been played.
This is another testimony for the momentum of growth.

This year's UAAP theme which is UNITY and EXCELLENCE has no better way to sum up what this partnership is all about.
This launching seals and brings forth the embodiment of  the values of pioneering and global experience. Of course ,the sportsmanship and athleticism that UAAP has long been spicing among the youth.
Mr. Ryan Jude Camus of Yamaha marketing section manager , excitingly announced that they have numbers of events in store for all the Yamaha fans with regards to the partnership.

True enough, riding a motorcycle back then is associated as only a public transport tool.
But of course, the market is constantly evolving.
At this point, Yamaha has already made a way making motorcycle as a part of a lifestyle on everyone who utilizes it.
The AT products already represents the character of the different customers.
And with this Partnership, it will further strengthen the youngest, the stylishness the innovativeness of their products.

Aside from the TVC that will be airing on all UAAP programs, they will also have several school tours, they will also visit several UAAP universities and other activities that will introduce the partnership between Yamaha and UAAP plus the different Automatic products.
They will also conduct several activities outside events during the UAAP games and the most important is the representation of different schools using the YAMAHA products.
As mentioned, the athletes won’t be the only ones in the spotlight as Yamaha holds a graphic design contest for the MIO Sporty; a winning design will be selected for each university in the UAAP.
The top 3 designs for each school will be featured and winners will receive different prizes and the top design from each school will then be customized by Yamaha Motor Philippines for event display.
With its great partnership with UAAP, Yamaha will surely give its customers a thrilling riding experience that will be a one great adventure for everyone.
