Celebrate Lunar New Year with a Free Chinese Delicacy Cooking Workshop at Iskaparate.com
I’ve always been a fan of learning new cooking techniques, especially when it comes to unique and delicious cultural dishes.
When I received the invitation to cover Iskaparate.com’s The Grand Lunar Feast Chinese Delicacy Cooking Workshop, I couldn’t contain my excitement.A Fun and Engaging Learning Experience
I arrived early, eager to get a sense of the atmosphere and learn about the delicious recipes ahead. Walking into All About Baking, I was immediately greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. The place smelled like a dream—fresh ingredients filling the air and giving off the vibe that something special was about to happen. Oh, and a bonus: I got a little prize for being early, which definitely made me feel even more excited to be there!
Chef Cathy Yu’s energy was contagious, and she guided us step by step through seven different dishes, ranging from savory to sweet. My favorite part was how hands-on the workshop was. I wasn’t just sitting and watching; I was right there in the kitchen, rolling dough, assembling dumplings, and carefully watching the oven as we baked Pineapple Pastry and Easy Egg Tarts. Some of the dishes we made included Huat Huat Noodles, Baked Honey Pork Steak Char Siu, Gyoza, Almond Cookies, and Fried Milk. Each dish was new to me, and I felt like I was learning secrets passed down through generations.
I could immediately tell that the tools and ingredients provided were top-notch, thanks to the generous sponsors like Arla, Klio, RFM Corporation, and Sysu International. But what truly impressed me was the equipment we got to work with—specifically the Unox BAKERLUX SHOP.Pro™ LED and TOUCH ovens. These ovens are next-level! They allowed us to cook with such precision—something I’ve never experienced before. From humidity control to digital panels that made cooking feel like an art, these ovens made every dish come out perfectly.
Iskaparate.com’s New Initiatives
While the workshop was all about cooking, Iskaparate.com had some exciting new initiatives to share, too. Marissa Dames, the President & COO of DTC Promos Inc., introduced two new programs: the Vendor Referral Program (RAVE) and the Affiliate Program (TAP). These programs aim to help small business owners and entrepreneurs succeed on the Iskaparate platform, which I thought was really inspiring. As someone who’s always dreamed of starting my own business, these initiatives felt like an opportunity to be part of a supportive community.
RAVE allows people to refer new vendors to Iskaparate.com and earn a commission on every sale made by the referred vendor. TAP, on the other hand, is an affiliate program that allows individuals to promote products from the platform and earn commissions—perfect for those of us who love sharing our favorite finds online!
Building Connections and Community
What stood out to me the most was the sense of community. Sure, we were all there to learn how to cook, but Iskaparate.com made it clear that it’s not just about sales—it’s about building relationships with small business owners and connecting with others who share similar passions. The event felt like much more than just a cooking class; it was a chance to network, learn about new programs, and be part of something bigger.
I also had the chance to chat with fellow participants, and it was amazing to see how many of them were eager to dive into new projects and entrepreneurial ventures. It’s not every day that you meet so many passionate, motivated individuals in one place. The support from Iskaparate.com and their partners really shone through in every aspect of the workshop.
Looking Ahead to More Workshops
After this experience, I can’t wait to attend more workshops like this. The event was such a hit that Iskaparate.com is already planning bigger and more interactive sessions in the future. The Chocolate-Making Class held just a week earlier with Master Chocolatier Christian Valdes was already trending on social media, and it’s clear that these events are creating a ripple effect across the country.
As someone who’s always looking for ways to learn and grow, I’m excited to see what other learning opportunities Iskaparate.com will offer in the future. Whether you're a home cook, an aspiring entrepreneur, or just someone who loves learning about different cultures, Iskaparate.com has created an incredible platform to do just that.
Attending The Grand Lunar Feast was a memorable experience that not only deepened my love for Chinese cuisine but also introduced me to new opportunities to grow as a professional. If you're interested in cooking, business, or simply expanding your horizons, I highly recommend keeping an eye on Iskaparate.com’s upcoming events. Who knows? Maybe I’ll see you at the next one!
