Boo-Time Halloween Party at FUN RANCH 2013

Who doesn't want Halloween?

It’s the one time of year you can dress in any way you like and it’s considered ‘normal’ and acceptable to be weird, freaky and a little bit Zombie-ish! Halloween parties here and there!
Speaking of parties, I was literally jumping up and down when I got an email from Ms. Ana inviting me to be one of the judges to their annual Halloween Costume contest at Fun Ranch last October 26. Honestly, I was hesitant at first ( my first ever judging experience actually ) but thankfully I didn't back out.
My kids got so excited when I told them they would be going , minus the costumes.
Yeah, we were not really prepared for that.
So, anyway, I thought we were running late because of the terrible traffic along C5 road , but we made it on time with a few minutes to spare before the judging ceremony.
The fee for the kids was 500 and 250 for the adults inclusive of snacks, drinks, Ride-all-you-can etc. but for me, hubby and kids , it was all for free!

Young , talented acrobats show off  their jaw-dropping skills wowing the audience as they graced the event. Fun Ranch's beloved mascots namely : Sunny the Duck , Skye the Blue Horse and Red the Dog entertained the kids and the-not-so-kids while Mr. Ceelin danced the day away. Different freebies booths were scattered at the fairgrounds. There were snacks like popcorn , cotton candy and ice cream! I have been to a Fun Ranch event a few years back and they really know how to throw a party!

There were also Glitter Tattoos and Hair styling for the little princesses. My daughters were excited to try those!

Judging 150 kids was not easy, especially for a first timer like me. I decided to roam around the venue for some advanced screening of the kids and hoping to find a prospective winner. Frankly speaking, they were all winners to me. Parents can be so innovative when it comes to their kids' Halloween costumes. it felt good when their children wanted to cooperate as well.

Individual Awards were divided into three categories including The Cutest costume , The scariest costume and The most awaited Best costume of all.  I was not surprised when the 3 of us judges got the same choices because they truly deserved the awards.
The Best Costume goes to The Madhatter
I chose him because every bit of the costume was home made. It took a lot more effort than something picked up at a store.
Snowhite for the Cutest and Edward Scissorhands for the Scariest

I was actually surprised that my daughters won the Spookiest face drawing contest held by DONG-A. I didn't know they joined this contest .

I was exhausted at the event but these yummy treats such as spaghetti, fries and fried chicken made my tummy a happy one!
Yes, I'll give them 5 stars for an overall good party experience and i'll definitely come back next year!
