Movie Review : OGGY AND THE COCKROACHES movie
No, don't get me wrong, I love cartoons. Who doesn't? But this certain show pisses me off big time. Same concept with that of Tom and Jerry's ( Pure violence ) plus a no spoken dialogue part is insanely irritating!
Oggy, is an easy-natured, somewhat lazy , hungry cat that is on a constant war with those COCKROACHES.
Directed by Didier Degand , created by Jean-Yves Raimbaud and Olivier Jean-Marie in 1999 where it already has 270 episodes. The series still airs in 150 countries, including the Philippines (on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel). The movie is about Oggy travelling through three different time period — including prehistoric and medieval ages, where he must confront evil-minded cockroaches to become heir to the throne.
The animation itself is done well and the character design is quite interesting. The whole production is OKAY but Nothing exciting for me really. Actually I found myself sleeping in the middle of the screening. But my kids loved it. Laughing all throughout the movie. Unfortunately the show isn't getting any laughs out of me.
