Thermomix : A 10-in-1 wonder machine launched in the Philippines
Gadgets and home appliances today are no longer like the devices our parents and grandparents used when we were growing up. They are now built with modern technology designed to improve performance and efficiency.
Indeed, today’s appliances can do more, work smarter, and consume less energy than those of the past.

A perfect example of this so-called wonder machine is the Thermomix.

So what exactly is this wonder machine?
Thermomix is a German-designed kitchen appliance from Vorwerk (pronounced Forwerk), widely regarded as one of the most advanced kitchen machines on the market today. The fifth-generation model, the TM31, was introduced and exclusively distributed in the Philippines in 2012 by Modern Innovations. It combines the functions of more than ten kitchen appliances into one compact unit.
Thanks to Mommy Bloggers Philippines, we were fortunate to attend a Thermomix launch event last month. During the event, we were served a variety of dishes prepared directly using this wonder machine.
On the menu were puto, hot chocolate, chicken adobo, pork binagoongan, and buko shake—all made using the Thermomix.

You know moms, the great thing about this product is that we are no longer required to use too many kitchen utensils and pots, because the Thermomix can do almost everything.
I was doubtful at first, but after witnessing the machine’s functions, my doubts quickly disappeared. While we struggle with our everyday routines, here is the Thermomix helping and doing the unthinkable for you.
Here, Mr. Daniel and Ma. AC demonstrated the different parts of the Thermomix.
The topmost part is the Varoma, a combination of “vapor” and “aroma.” The Varoma consists of:

The Varoma dish, used for steaming larger quantities of food.
The next part is the spatula. It comes with a specially designed disc that prevents the spatula from touching the counter when you set it down after use.

The next part is the Cover which comes with a measuring cup of 100ml.

No more the ever time consuming of locating the pot holders.

The bowl, made of true stainless steel similar to those used in surgical procedures in hospitals, is next on the list. It has a liquid capacity of 2 liters and can hold up to 1 kilogram of solid ingredients.
You can even chop 1 kilogram of onions in just 4 seconds, definitely no more tears, chopping boards, or knives!

It has the capacity to do a clockwise and counter clockwise as well.

The functional buttons located at the base of the machine are temperature settings, ranging from 27°C up to a maximum heat of 100°C.

The other functions of the buttons include a timer and a weighing scale for measuring ingredients.
With the help of the Thermomix, one can:
- Have more time
- Save money
- Save space
- Eat healthier
- Make cooking more fun, even allowing kids to help operate the device
The Thermomix also comes with a free cookbook featuring 160 recipes. Soon, they will be launching an all-Filipino cookbook, so watch out for that.
So, how much does this device cost, the question we’ve all been waiting for :)

It is not yet available in malls, but you may visit their showroom directly at:
