Bloggers’ Night at Gandiva Café and Archery Range

The challenge was simple.
Do you have what it takes to be the next Katniss Everdeen wannabe, or Robin Hood for that matter?
Are you ready to know what it feels like to be a superhero vigilante who fights crime using archery?

It was truly an opportunity of a lifetime, giving bloggers (myself included) an unprecedented chance to try and make their “defender or villain” dreams come true.

I was supposed to be at the venue at exactly 2 PM, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I arrived closer to 4 PM.
Luckily for me, Bloggers’ Night had just started.

The Gandiva Archery Range is located on the 7th floor of One Corporate Center along Julia Vargas Avenue in Ortigas, Pasig City.

The building can easily be spotted just across the Caltex gas station before heading to Megamall.
There are plenty of parking spaces within a short walking distance of the building, and if I’m not mistaken, the fee is around 40 pesos for two hours.

Named after a mythical bow from the ancient epic Mahabharata, Gandiva Archery Range brings a certain magic by breathing new life into the art of archery.

It all began in 2009 when Gandiva’s first branch opened in SM Mall of Asia, with the goal of popularizing the sport and becoming a one-stop shop for fitness, focus, and fun.

Some of their basic offerings include the 1-hour archery package, range and equipment rentals, archery training (recurve and compound), an archery armory (for equipment repairs and servicing), and offsite range setup facilitation.

Compound bows are more complex compared to recurve bows, which are simpler and commonly used by characters like Green Arrow or Robin Hood in TV series.

Anyway, each and every event participant got the chance to try out the archery range and join games against fellow bloggers, influencers, and showbiz personalities, with the opportunity to take home amazing prizes from various sponsors and Gandiva Archery.

Ms. Rowena Wendy Lim of Animetric's World was also there to try out the challenge.

Kudos to this lucky fellow who bagged the Top Archer of the Night, took home exciting prizes, and won ₱12,000 worth of archery sessions from Gandiva Café, definitely ready to take it to the next level, I believe.

Sessions at Gandiva are priced at ₱980 per hour. But in case you didn’t know, they currently have an extended weekday promo!

For only ₱680 per hour per person, you get access to a range lane for one hour, complete use of archery equipment, a target face, and assistance from their professional staff.

The regular rate is ₱8,000 for 20 hours of lessons.
It can be scheduled flexibly depending on your availability, just coordinate with the staff and make reservations ahead of time.

Again, this package already includes range rental, an instructor, and the necessary equipment.

For health and fitness buffs, Gandiva Cafe caters well for vegans where you can get healthy but still yummy vegan food.

Some celebrities who have graced the ranges at Gandiva include Sarah, not the little princess, but the Sarah Geronimo, along with Matteo Guidicelli, Liza Soberano, Richard Gomez, and many others.

Celebrity ambassador Bangs Garcia is currently enrolled in Gandiva’s basic advanced module.

Honestly speaking, I had a bit of difficulty properly gripping the bowstring because of my sweaty palms and shaking hands. But it was absolutely an incredible experience, and I enjoyed every minute of it nonetheless.

Hitting targets straight on with the precision of Katniss Everdeen now feels within reach, thanks to Gandiva Café and Archery Range.

Finally, I might just get the chance to shoot the apple off an enemy’s head (or, you know… accidentally aim for the head instead, lol!).

Grateful to all these sponsors 🙂
