Our Lactum Event Experience and 15 Minutes of Fame Moment
I distinctly remember one moment when a PR emailed me asking if I would like to appear on the ASAP show, which airs every Sunday afternoon, just for a milk campaign with other blogger moms. The decision took all of about three seconds.
I already pictured the entire scene in my mind. Actually, being on that show was part of my bucket list, to see Bamboo and Toni Gonzaga performing live on stage in front of me. I honestly thought we would just sit there and watch the show the whole day.
That, my friend, was my “lightning, hit me now” face. lol!
But no, I wasn’t informed that I needed to appear on TV beside the gorgeous Toni Gonzaga, surrounded by so many cameras just inches from my face!
I didn’t even have makeup on. My imagination was running wild, as if I were under an X-ray machine and they were trying to look beneath my skin for something evil!
I needed that kind of distraction because my body was trembling so hard. I guess I’m just not used to that level of public attention.
Fortunately, the only thing we needed to do was cheer loudly after Toni’s spiels.
Don’t get me wrong, this was one of my most memorable experiences!
Another show we attended was Eat Bulaga. Honestly, it was my first time watching the entire show. I didn’t even know what to do with the number I was holding. One mom blogger told me to just hold on to it and I might end up being a millionaire!

Yes, I felt a bit richer because of the 15 minutes of fame that Lactum gave the Panatag Moms!
I was even recognized by my kids’ principal while paying their tuition fees the last time. Fame is a real thing, sometimes a curse for some, but for ordinary moms like us, it can feel like a blessing.
I was actually hoping not to lose it just yet. In fact, I was wishing for an extension and maybe another turn in the spotlight someday soon :)
