First “Lucky” Store to Open Soon, Says Maritess Allen; Shares 2015 Year of the Sheep Forecast
Not really sure why, but countless times I’ve been approached by several people asking what they can do to achieve or attract good feng shui.
When people ask me these questions, I often suspect that being half-Chinese makes them think I practice feng shui all the time but in reality, I don’t. People often hope that feng shui is some sort of instant answer that can completely dissolve their woes, when of course it usually isn’t. Still, according to a feng shui expert, about 33% of it can help you balance energy.
I do follow one feng shui master on Facebook and check her page once in a while, mostly for auspicious numbers and updates for the coming year.
When I got invited to a press conference held last Wednesday for Maritess Allen’s birthday bash at Luxent Hotel, of course I got excited and all that. I arrived quite early because I wanted to make a good impression and yes, being early is good feng shui as well :)
So, what’s in store for you in the Year of the Wood Sheep?
For the Year of the Horse, there were only three elements present, metal, fire, and wood. The other two primary elements, earth and water, were missing, which I believe are quite important. Maritess Allen said that the chart for the Year of the Horse was “totally screwed up.” It was indeed a very unbalanced year. She even mentioned that those who started relationships during that year are said to be ill-fated or doomed.
The Year of the Sheep (2015), on the other hand, comes with both good news and bad. There are strong prospects indicated for the coming year. The Sheep is considered one of the more favorable signs in the Chinese zodiac due to its mild and peaceful nature. The destiny chart for 2015 shows the presence of all five elements and all four pillars, so we’re off to a better year—yeah!
Wood = Wealth
Earth = Opportunity
Water = Education luck / good for networking
Fire = Fame
Metal = Luck
In addition, there are two secret friend pairings present (Tiger and Boar, Horse and Sheep) across all pillars of the chart, which is a very rare phenomenon and may indicate great luck and fortunate energies for the year.
However, she also reminded us that it doesn’t really matter if all five elements are present in your destiny chart. What matters is being well-informed, making full use of positive energies, and staying protected from negative ones.
Ms. Maritess Allen also revealed that the Wood element is absent in her chart for next year, but that won’t stop her from being productive. She joked that she’ll just make friends with people who have the Wood element in their charts, lol!
One tip she shared: longer hair means more money (especially for those lacking the Wood element). If you need a certain element, try to enhance it.
She further explained that the upcoming year won’t be perfect, but we’re getting there. On a scale of 1 to 10, we’re at a 6 or 7, so we’re in an upward trend, which is a very good sign.
For those born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Monkey, the Year of the Sheep will be favorable. The same goes for those born under the Rat sign.
However, those under the Rooster sign are more likely to experience misfortune in the coming year, while individuals born under the Dragon and Snake signs may be more vulnerable to illness.
Lucky colors for the coming year include red, pink, blue, black, and gray. You may also place paintings of birds in the south corner of your space to help enhance luck.
First Frigga Charmed Life Boutique to open this November!

I was really, really fortunate to receive a lucky Horse bangle in medium size (worth £31) as a gift, perhaps to invoke good fortune.
In this festive print, the Horse gallops across a lush scenery of florals and palm fronds, bringing an abundance of energy and a touch of wild chic. The Horse is a fiery, temperamental creature, and this year it attracts much-needed Fire element energy to help counter challenges (including, apparently, having one’s toes stepped on!).
If you want to get one of these, it will be available at Frigga Charmed Life Boutique, which will open its first flagship store at SM Mall of Asia on November 9, 2014.

The concept of Frigga is firmly rooted in feng shui principles, where proper alignment and balance of the five natural elements are believed to attract prosperity and harmony into our lives. In this sense, wearing Frigga-inspired fashion can be likened to wearing one’s lucky charms, carrying auspicious energy wherever one goes.
An exciting array of designs for the Year of the Sheep will be featured during the upcoming opening of Frigga Charmed Life Boutique this November, so better watch out for it!
