SEE The Philippines' First Christmas Musical Street Light Tunnel

9:07 AM
It's almost Christmas and the best way for us Filipinos to celebrate the festive season is of course, decorating our homes and the city with colorful and festive lights.
All those striking lanterns and Christmas lights we see just everywhere these days are truly comforting, a reminder of how a Filipino community comes together every year to set up Christmas decors for the best lit holiday.
One of them is the Christmas Musical Street Light Tunnel in Frontera Verde in Tiendesitas that is sure to make heads turn and keep eyes glued as families and friends bask under the glow of a shower of lights with songs filling the air to boot.

It will be the ultimate Christmas experience for shoppers and diners to take a walk or drive through a dazzling tunnel of lights. The magic and grandness of it all will definitely stay with anyone who experiences it for a lifetime.

Even I cannot help myself from smiling whenever I pass by that street. It made me realize of how devoted Filipinos are in celebrating Christmas.
Who wouldn’t be?
Imagine a long path strewn with 2,368 pixels and 13 mini search lights. Each pixel comes with three (3) bulbs in red, green, and blue. From these colors, infinite number of colors can be created and mixed together.
Holiday light tunnels are already a big thing in different parts of the world, one of the most popular of which is the Kyoto Illumiere in Japan which people troop to in droves to watch.
Also worth mentioning are the Lights at Lafarge in Vancouver, Canada where a Christmas light display circles the entire lake, and the Tunnel of Light at Norwich in the United Kingdom.

For the first time, Ortigas & Company is bringing that tradition to the country to prove that Christmas Shines Bright at Ortigas Malls.
“We at Ortigas & Company always strive to come up with unique and magical Christmas concepts. We want to light up the Christmas season,” says Arch. Renee Bacani, Ortigas & Company Vice President. “Christmas brings people together and the Christmas Musical Street Light Tunnel is one spectacle that aims to gather families and friends together to enjoy and be delighted by the many possibilities and cheer that the season can bring.”

You can also eat your way under the #OrtigasEastChristmastTunnel this season until January 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 10 PM at their Christmas Streat Market.

Experience the grandeur of a Christmas Musical Street Light Tunnel outfitted with music and bursting with lighting elements to make it more appealing for people to walk or drive through the brightly-lit passage.
