Step Aside Grab And Uber, U-Go is here!

There are two things I know about Metro Manila - it's the traffic situations and the public transportation, in which, in my opinion, are not worth mentioning.
Since riding taxis are impossible nowadays (taxi drivers don't always know where they're going and some of them are rude), you can always ride the MRT ( just don't mind the frequent break downs, and you have to be aggressive and learn how to pushed everyone on the side to go in).
Then there was a significant progress on our daily commute when we learned about Uber and Grab. Giving us an option for a much safer and more reliable way to go back and forth. However,
due to the increased demand for services and horrendous traffic even on the normal days, there is already a fare price surge for both parties. The scale of these price hikes piled more pressure and stress on the commuters. These existing means of transpo can be effective if the disadvantages could be avoided.

Booking services from abroad like Grab and Uber are not really perfect 100% of the time. And the safety of both the driver and he passenger can also be compromised. Remember the story of Gerardo Amolato Maquidato Jr?
For all the conveniences brought about by the entry of Grab and Uber, to commuters, we often forget that there will always be two parties involved in each trip—the driver and passenger—we often hear tales about abusive drivers, but on the other hand there are also passengers who try to take advantage of their drivers.-ED UY

Fortunately, there will be a new reliable ride-sharing app come January 2018.

Norman Castillo, chairman of U-Go said, that they will launch the locally-made App by next year, ensuring everyone's safety the moment they step into the vehicle. I'm hoping this will improve the ride-sharing system in the Philippines.
The firm wants to operate nationwide as soon as possible since they already had an initial demo at the LTFRB office on how the app would work. Uber currently operates only in Metro Manila, while Grab have already expanded their services to some provinces in the country.

The conceptualization of U-Go started two years ago when Grab and Uber tried to cut down the incentives of both the drivers and operators.
As for U-Go, they will value their drivers and operators as partners, making them different from other existing players.
In terms of commission, U-Go will give them something attainable and survivable. A lot lower than what Grab and Uber are asking from their drivers .
Since Uber right now is asking for a 25% on commission per trip from the drivers, while 23% for Grab, U-Go will only ask for 10% per trip.

Other additional unique features of the app are:

For part timer partners, the U-Go system can detect whether you are going to work or home and will only assign you passengers that are en route to your destination.

You can Book via Text. This will allow you to book a ride via SMS so even if you have no data or wifi signal you can still book a ride.

With U-Go, you can book rides for family members and schedule the time of their pickups.

The best feature about the U-Go App is their SOS Alert. An SOS button is included on the app which the rider can tap to alert nearby police that they are in danger and give the authorities their coordinates.

You can use the U-Go App in any device or platform like the desktop.
