Pure Bayanihan, a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to announce the launch of its nationwide initiative to combat poverty in the Philippines through sustainable livelihood programs.

Despite a decrease in the poverty rate from 18.1% to 15.5%, over 17.5 million Filipinos still live below the poverty line, with limited access to quality education and stable employment, particularly in rural areas.

In response to the country's vulnerability to natural disasters, including Typhoon Kristine and other calamities, Pure Bayanihan is leveraging the Filipino spirit of Bayanihan—community unity and collaboration—to address systemic barriers. The organization promotes skills development, entrepreneurial opportunities, and access to essential livelihood support, helping Filipinos overcome hardship and achieve economic stability.

Since its founding, Pure Bayanihan has positively impacted 50 communities, 1,898 families, and 9,490 individuals. Key programs include empowering widows and single mothers through skills training, supporting small businesses, and tackling social and environmental challenges like waste management and food security.

Looking ahead, Pure Bayanihan plans to expand its reach, with initiatives such as hilot healing skills training for indigenous communities, sugarcane juicing equipment for farmers, and a washing machine vending program for stay-at-home mothers.

To further its mission, Pure Bayanihan has partnered with PRecious Communications Philippines to enhance outreach efforts and maximize its impact. 100% of the support received goes directly to fighting poverty, with all administrative costs covered by the organization's founders and supporters.
