Director Moritz Mohr praises Skarsgård’s physicality, remarking, "Skarsgård is super expressive with his face, that alone is one big selling point for Boy. But when it came to action, I wasn't sure if he had the experience. On our first call, Bill told me he was a huge MMA and UFC fan and was eager to train for the role. I trusted him, and he absolutely delivered."

Bill Skarsgård trained for six weeks to transform his body into a lean, mean vengeance machine, watching martial arts movies and learning fight choreography to deliver an authentic experience. "It was like learning a completely new language," Skarsgård says about his preparation for the role.
