BDO Foundation Partners with Institute for Solidarity in Asia to Drive Social Impact
In an exciting development aimed at fostering long-term growth and reform, BDO Foundation has formalized its partnership with the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) to implement the Performance Governance System (PGS) across two provincial governments and five school divisions of the Department of Education (DepEd).
The partnership agreement was signed in a ceremonial event attended by key figures, including BDO Foundation President Mario Deriquito, ISA CEO Evaristo Francisco, and BDO Foundation Trustee Ma. Corazon Mallillin, who also serves as the Head of BDO Branch Banking Group. Witnessing the event were prominent representatives from BDO Network Bank, including President Jesus Antonio Itchon and Salary Loans Group Head Alberto Quiogue.
The PGS framework is designed to help public sector institutions implement sustainable reforms by creating a roadmap that aligns governance practices with the evolving needs of the Philippine government and education sector. It brings together the best practices in governance and management to create a comprehensive strategy for long-term improvements in public service.
Speaking on the partnership, Mario Deriquito emphasized the significance of collaboration between BDO Foundation, ISA, and local government units and schools. “Our commitment to this initiative is not just about supporting governance, but also about enhancing the quality of education and public service that impacts Filipino communities,” he shared.
The partnership’s objective is to address the growing demands of public sector institutions, providing the necessary tools and strategies to help them respond effectively to both local and national challenges. By working together, the BDO Foundation and ISA aim to inspire positive change and create a lasting impact in the lives of those who benefit from these vital reforms.
In the words of Evaristo Francisco, CEO of ISA, "This collaboration is a testament to the shared vision of making governance more effective and efficient, while ensuring the educational system remains responsive to the needs of the future."
This partnership signifies a new chapter in the continuous journey towards progress, and it underscores the importance of unity and collective action in driving impactful change. With this initiative, both BDO Foundation and ISA are making a powerful commitment to the future of governance and education in the Philippines.
