What the Year of the Fire Sheep 2027 Could Bring: Marites Allen Reveals Feng Shui Forecasts, Lucky Directions and DESTARA
A new year often brings a familiar question: What lies ahead, and how can we prepare for the opportunities and challenges that await us?
As 2027 draws closer, Philippine Feng Shui Queen Marites Allen is offering her perspective through the traditional principles of Chinese metaphysics. Her annual Year of the Fire Sheep forecast explores the potential influences surrounding wealth, career advancement, relationships, health and personal development, while identifying directions that Feng Shui practitioners traditionally associate with prosperity and success.
During a media conference held on October 12, 2026, at SPACES, World Plaza Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Allen presented her outlook for the coming year and shared guidance for all 12 Chinese zodiac animal signs. The event also marked a significant milestone in her professional journey with the introduction of DESTARA, a digital platform designed to bring her decades of Feng Shui knowledge to a wider audience.
With nearly 30 years of professional experience, Allen continues to explore how traditional wisdom can help people approach the future with greater awareness, thoughtful preparation and a clearer sense of direction.
Year of the Fire Sheep 2027: A Time to Build with Purpose
The Chinese Lunar New Year begins on February 6, 2027, ushering in the Year of the Fire Sheep. In the Four Pillars of Destiny system, the annual transition is associated with the Beginning of Spring, around February 4.
The Fire Sheep combination last occurred in 1967, marking 2027 as the beginning of another 60 year cycle for this particular pairing.
In traditional Chinese metaphysics, the year's elemental combination carries symbolic meanings that offer a framework for reflecting on personal and professional priorities.
Yin Fire is associated with creativity, inspiration, warmth and purposeful expression. The Sheep, connected with the Earth element, represents nurturing, patience, responsibility and the steady work required to establish lasting foundations.
Together, these qualities suggest a year in which measured progress, meaningful cooperation and careful planning may be especially valuable.
“The pace of 2026 encouraged action. In 2027, what matters is choosing a clear direction and building something that will last,” Allen explains.
Her annual Destiny Chart also highlights the absence of visible Metal among its principal pillars. Within the traditional Five Elements framework, Metal is associated with discipline, structure, accountability and sound judgment.
For individuals and business owners, this symbolism offers a timely reminder to review commitments, manage financial resources responsibly, strengthen important relationships and avoid decisions made in haste.
Rather than treating an annual forecast as a fixed prediction, Allen encourages people to consider it another perspective when planning for the future.
Feng Shui 2027: The Luckiest Directions for Wealth, Career and Relationships
One of the most anticipated elements of Allen's annual forecast is the Flying Star chart, a traditional Feng Shui system that assigns different symbolic influences to sectors of a home or other property.
For 2027, several directions are associated with opportunities for prosperity, recognition, learning and supportive relationships. Others call for greater mindfulness and practical care.
- Southeast: No. 8 Wealth and Prosperity Star
The Southeast is associated with financial growth, business opportunities and long term prosperity. In traditional Flying Star Feng Shui, the No. 8 Star is linked with wealth and material progress.
This sector may be of particular interest to those reviewing business goals, developing new ventures or planning their financial priorities for the year.
- Northwest: No. 1 Victory and Success Star
The Northwest carries the No. 1 Star, traditionally associated with career advancement, recognition, achievement and new opportunities.
Its symbolism highlights the importance of professional relationships, preparation and remaining receptive to promising developments.
- Southwest: No. 6 Mentor and Heaven Luck Star
The Southwest is connected with mentorship, helpful connections and support from experienced or influential individuals.
For those navigating career changes or major decisions, this sector's traditional associations underscore the value of seeking sound advice and building meaningful professional networks.
- South: No. 4 Romance and Scholastic Star
The South is associated with romance, relationships, education, creativity and intellectual growth.
Its traditional symbolism places attention on communication, personal development and the relationships that enrich everyday life.
- Center: No. 9 Future Prosperity Star
The Center carries the No. 9 Star, traditionally associated with future prosperity, visibility, recognition and expanding opportunities.
It represents the potential of present efforts to contribute to longer term ambitions.
- Directions That Call for Greater Care
Allen's 2027 Flying Star interpretation also identifies four sectors associated with challenges that traditionally warrant additional attention.
- North: No. 5 Misfortune Star. Associated with setbacks and disruptions, this sector encourages careful planning, patience and a measured approach to significant decisions.
- West: No. 2 Illness Star. Traditionally linked with health concerns, it serves as a reminder to prioritise rest, balanced routines and appropriate healthcare.
- Northeast: No. 3 Conflict Star. Associated with disagreements and misunderstandings, this sector highlights the importance of diplomacy, clear communication and calm negotiation.
- East: No. 7 Loss and Betrayal Star. Traditionally connected with loss and trust related concerns, it encourages vigilance in financial matters, personal security and the handling of sensitive information.
Allen notes that annual Flying Star interpretations should not be considered in isolation. A property's individual Feng Shui chart, physical layout and occupants' circumstances also influence how practitioners assess a space.
Chinese Zodiac 2027: What the Year of the Fire Sheep Means for All 12 Animal Signs
Will 2027 bring new opportunities, important connections or lessons in patience? According to Allen's traditional annual interpretations, the outlook varies across the 12 Chinese zodiac signs.
These forecasts offer a general overview based on annual Flying Star influences and traditional relationships between the animal signs. Individual outcomes cannot be determined by an animal sign alone.
Signs with Stronger Support in 2027
Boar: New Opportunities and Helpful Allies
The Boar benefits from a traditionally supportive relationship with the Sheep, alongside the influence of the No. 1 Victory and Success Star in Allen's annual interpretation.
Career developments, valuable connections and fresh beginnings may be themes to consider. Cooperation and thoughtful timing can help turn promising possibilities into practical plans.
Horse: Love, Learning and Meaningful Connections
The Horse is traditionally regarded as the Sheep's Secret Friend. This relationship is associated with support in personal connections, romance, education and personal development.
For Horse born individuals, 2027 offers a reason to invest in relationships, expand their knowledge and remain open to opportunities that arise through collaboration.
Dog: Career Progress and Recognition
The No. 1 Victory and Success Star highlights themes of achievement, recognition and professional advancement for the Dog.
However, the Dog's traditional relationship with the Sheep also makes diplomacy important. Clear agreements, respectful communication and careful handling of disagreements can help maintain constructive partnerships.
Dragon: Wealth and Professional Growth
The No. 8 Wealth Star in the Southeast brings financial progress and business development into focus in Allen's interpretation for the Dragon.
Those born under this sign may wish to review opportunities for career growth, entrepreneurship and long term financial planning. Sound judgment remains essential when evaluating risks and commitments.
Snake: Strategy and Productive Partnerships
The Snake also benefits from the Southeast's No. 8 Wealth Star in the annual reading.
Business initiatives, strategic alliances and professional development are key themes. Careful preparation, realistic expectations and a willingness to think long term can help support responsible decision making.
Signs Positioned for Steady Growth
Monkey: Mentorship and Networking
The No. 6 Mentor Star highlights guidance, collaboration and opportunities to learn from experienced individuals.
For the Monkey, strengthening professional relationships and remaining receptive to constructive advice may prove particularly valuable.
Sheep: Leadership and Personal Development
As the year's ruling animal, the Sheep is associated with nurturing, responsibility and steady growth. The No. 6 Mentor Star adds traditional themes of support, recognition and leadership.
The year encourages Sheep born individuals to approach ambitions with patience, adaptability and a willingness to take responsibility for their choices.
Rabbit: Supportive Relationships and Financial Awareness
The Rabbit shares a traditional harmony relationship with the Sheep, suggesting themes of friendship, cooperation and supportive connections.
However, the No. 7 Star in the East calls for caution around money, personal security and matters involving trust. Maintaining clear boundaries and reviewing financial decisions carefully can help balance optimism with prudence.
Signs Encouraged to Proceed with Care
Tiger: Patience and Clear Communication
The No. 3 Conflict Star highlights the importance of managing disagreements constructively.
Tiger born individuals may benefit from taking time before reacting to difficult situations, documenting important agreements and approaching negotiations with a calm, practical mindset.
Rooster: Wellness and Balance
The No. 2 Illness Star in the West places greater emphasis on wellbeing and balanced routines in Allen's annual interpretation.
Maintaining healthy habits, managing stress and allowing sufficient time for rest can support a more sustainable approach to personal and professional responsibilities. Feng Shui forecasts are not medical assessments, and health concerns should be discussed with qualified healthcare professionals.
Rat: Financial Prudence and Thoughtful Decisions
The No. 5 Misfortune Star in the North, combined with the Rat's traditional Harm relationship with the Sheep, suggests a year for greater caution.
Reviewing budgets, protecting savings, checking important details and avoiding unnecessarily risky commitments are practical ways to approach uncertainty.
Ox: Diplomacy and Due Diligence
The Ox traditionally clashes with the Sheep in Chinese astrology. Combined with the influence of the No. 3 Conflict Star, this association highlights the importance of patience, negotiation and careful review of agreements.
Rather than rushing into confrontations or major commitments, Ox born individuals are encouraged to weigh their options and communicate clearly.
Why Your Personal Destiny Chart Matters
While zodiac forecasts offer a convenient overview, Allen emphasises that they cannot capture the full picture of an individual's destiny chart.
A personalized Four Pillars of Destiny reading requires accurate birth information and the appropriate calendar and time calculations. Depending on the system used, birth time, time zone and solar calendar boundaries can influence the resulting chart.
For this reason, annual animal sign predictions should be understood as broad traditional interpretations rather than definitive statements about an individual's future.
DESTARA: How Marites Allen Is Bringing Feng Shui into the Digital Age
Beyond the annual forecasts, one of the most significant announcements at Allen's media presentation was the introduction of DESTARA, short for Destiny Is in Your Stars.
Founded by Allen, DESTARA is a digital lifestyle and destiny guidance platform intended to make traditional Chinese metaphysical knowledge more accessible through technology.
The idea grew from a practical challenge. After nearly three decades of consultations, publications, business engagements and annual forecasts, Allen wanted to explore how her accumulated knowledge could reach more people without relying entirely on individual appointments.
Her background also helped shape the project. A Computer Science graduate who later earned an MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, Allen brings an interest in technology to her long established Feng Shui practice.
The broader development effort has also drawn on the technical perspectives of family members working in fields such as software architecture and data related disciplines.
At the centre of DESTARA is the proprietary Marites Allen IP Brain, a specialised knowledge and calculation system designed around her established methods and selected principles of traditional Chinese metaphysics.
The platform aims to go beyond general purpose conversational assistance by incorporating dedicated rules for personalised Four Pillars calculations. These include considerations involving solar calendar boundaries, time zones, day calculations and birth hour requirements.
Such details matter because differences in birth information or calculation methods may affect the interpretation of a personalised chart.
What Can Users Do with DESTARA?
The platform is being developed to offer a range of digital tools for people interested in traditional destiny guidance and Feng Shui.
Its features include:
- Personalised daily forecasts to help users explore traditional interpretations relevant to their profiles.
- Auspicious timing guidance for considering dates and timing in everyday planning.
- Compass and direction tools to support exploration of traditional Feng Shui principles.
- Compatibility insights based on selected traditional metaphysical frameworks.
- Almanac information for users interested in auspicious dates and customary calendar guidance.
- An interactive digital destiny adviser that makes relevant information easier to explore.
- Development and refinement of the platform are ongoing. Its calculations, knowledge systems and user experience are intended to evolve as the project progresses.
For Allen, the goal is not to replace every professional consultation with a digital tool. It is to provide another way for people to access traditional guidance, ask questions and explore information at their own pace.
A Personal Legacy with a Modern Purpose
DESTARA also reflects Allen's desire to preserve and extend the knowledge she has developed throughout her career.
Over nearly 30 years, she has built a professional practice, written annual publications and advised individuals, families and businesses. Bringing parts of that body of knowledge into a digital platform creates an opportunity to introduce traditional Feng Shui concepts to a new generation.
The project also connects her experience as a practitioner, entrepreneur and mother with the possibilities of technology.
Yet, for Allen, greater access to information must go hand in hand with independent thinking and personal responsibility.
“Learn to use technology, but never stop thinking for yourself. AI can widen access to knowledge; responsibility for our decisions must remain human,” she says.
The message reflects an important distinction: digital tools can help people explore information, but personal judgment remains essential when making decisions about finances, relationships, work and everyday life.
How to Access DESTARA
Users can access the platform through the following options:
- Android: Download DESTARA through Google Play.
- Web access: Visit https://destara.app using a web browser.
- iPhone: A dedicated Apple App Store version is expected soon.
Availability and features may vary as the platform continues to develop.

Beyond Predictions: Preparing for the Opportunities of 2027
For many people, the appeal of an annual Feng Shui forecast lies in the opportunity to pause, reflect and consider how to approach the coming year.
Allen's message centers on preparation rather than certainty. Traditional metaphysical systems may offer a framework for thinking about timing, relationships and personal priorities, but they do not remove life's unpredictability.
A favorable forecast does not guarantee success, just as a challenging one does not determine failure. Practical planning, responsible financial decisions, thoughtful communication and appropriate professional advice remain important regardless of one's zodiac sign or Feng Shui chart.
The year ahead can therefore be approached as an opportunity to reassess what matters, strengthen existing foundations and make room for meaningful change.
“There is wisdom in recognizing the right moment to begin, and equal wisdom in knowing when to release what cannot be forced. Peace is part of progress,” Allen says.
She adds, “A forecast does not take uncertainty away. It gives us another perspective so we can prepare, weigh our options and respond with greater care.”
As the Year of the Fire Sheep approaches, the central message is clear: look ahead with an open mind, recognize opportunities without overlooking risks, and make decisions with intention.
For Allen, the most valuable use of traditional guidance is not to surrender control of the future, but to approach it with greater awareness and a stronger sense of responsibility.
