DailyFix Power Run 2027 Brings a Bigger Challenge and More Reasons to Run
The new year often comes with familiar promises: move more, get healthier, make time for yourself and finally stick to the goals that have been sitting on the list for months.
For thousands of Filipinos, those resolutions can now have a finish line.
After drawing 5,000 participants during its first staging in January 2026, the DailyFix Power Run is coming back on January 10, 2027, at the SM Mall of Asia Complex. Organized in partnership with RunRio, the second edition is set to bring more runners, more race options and a brand new challenge for those ready to go beyond the usual distances.
This time, the race is going bigger with the introduction of a 16K category, giving experienced runners an opportunity to test their endurance while keeping the event open to beginners, families and fur parents.
A Bigger Race for Every Kind of Runner
Not everyone starts running for the same reason.
Some chase faster times. Others want to get back into shape. For some, signing up for a race is simply a way to break out of a routine and try something different.
DailyFix Power Run 2027 is designed with those different motivations in mind.
Participants can choose from five categories:
- 16K – A new distance for seasoned runners looking for a serious endurance challenge.
- 10K – A longer-distance test for runners ready to raise their game.
- 5K – A manageable distance for building consistency or working toward a new personal best.
- 3K – A welcoming starting point for beginners and casual runners.
- 1K Dog – A fun option for fur parents who want their dogs to be part of the morning.
The lineup means there is no single definition of what it means to be a runner. You can be chasing a podium, completing your first organized race or simply trying to make movement part of your lifestyle.
What matters is showing up.
From a First Run to a New Year Tradition
The first DailyFix Power Run in 2026 proved that a race does not have to be all about speed.
For some participants, simply crossing the starting line was already a personal milestone.
One first-time participant, who described themselves as a non-runner, joined the inaugural event with little expectation beyond having fun and trying something new. By the end of the race, the experience had left them feeling proud and motivated to do it again.
That kind of reaction captures what made the first event resonate with participants. It was not only about running a particular distance. It was about giving people a reason to move.
Kristine Dela Cruz, another participant from the inaugural race, described the event as a run worth waiting for and joining again.
With the addition of the 16K category, the 2027 edition gives returning runners a new target while preserving the welcoming atmosphere that made the first race accessible to people at different stages of their fitness journey.
The 16K Is the Biggest New Challenge
For runners who have been looking for a reason to step up their training, the new 16K category could be the biggest draw of DailyFix Power Run 2027.
Moving beyond the standard 10K requires more preparation, pacing and endurance. It also gives experienced participants a fresh goal to work toward at the beginning of the year.
At the same time, runners do not need to be highly competitive to join the event. The 5K and 3K categories offer more approachable distances, while the 1K Dog category brings a playful twist for people who would rather share their morning run with a four-legged companion.
In other words, the race meets runners where they are.
Making Movement Part of Everyday Life
The idea behind DailyFix Power Run extends beyond race day.
DailyFix positions wellness as something that can be built into everyday routines rather than treated as a once-in-a-while goal. Its Granola and Trail Mix products can complement an active lifestyle, whether served as part of breakfast, paired with fruit or yogurt, or enjoyed as a convenient snack during a busy day.
The DailyFix Granola lineup includes Strawberry & Yogurt, Berry Special, Very Nutty and Dark Choco Decadence. Its Trail Mix selection includes Nutty & Nice, Cranberry Yogurt Delight, Almond & Dark Chocolate Deluxe, Pecan & Cashew, and Choco Hazelnut Heaven.
Through the Power Run, that everyday approach to wellness moves from the kitchen and snack drawer to a much bigger community setting, bringing together people who simply want to become more active and make healthier choices part of their routines.
More Movement, More Energy, More Milestones
For Abigail Ng-Reyes, Vice President for Marketing at Fly Ace Corporation, the response to the inaugural event showed just how much Filipinos value opportunities to move and celebrate progress together.
“Last year’s DailyFix Power Run showed us how ready Filipinos are to move, challenge themselves and celebrate milestones together,” said Ng-Reyes.
She noted that the 5,000 registrants and strong community response gave the brand the confidence to return with a bigger event in 2027.
This year, the goal is to turn that momentum into an annual tradition that Filipinos can look forward to at the beginning of every year.
Ng-Reyes also emphasized that fitness does not always have to mean pushing for maximum intensity. For many people, progress can simply mean becoming more consistent, returning to a routine or finally deciding to begin.
“You don’t have to be a seasoned runner to be part of it,” she said. “Sometimes, all it takes is showing up, taking that first step and seeing where it takes you.”
And perhaps that is the most fitting message for a race taking place so early in the year.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you start.
You just need to take the first step.
