A Yo Ho Holiday Celebration at SM City Sucat

Pirates are awesome and popular with kids, especially since Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean movie series hit the big screen.

I even got my little boy a pirate costume from SM, just in case he wanted to wear one and pair it with the “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall” song. Shiver me timbers!

From cartoons and books to Halloween and games, pirates always tease us with their free-spirited, thrill-seeking, fun-loving, and responsibility-free ways, not to mention their stylish DIY costumes, tropical islands they constantly sail to, and the hunt for buried treasure.

If you and your aspiring pirates are wondering where to find the X mark (or in this case, fun mall events), look no further.

Yes, mateys, here at SM City Sucat, you and your kids can celebrate a Yo Ho holiday this Christmas season.

The merriment began on November 9 at 6 PM, as mall-goers, along with the Manila Youth Orchestra, came in their best nautical and pirate-inspired costumes to revel in the festivities.

Families can sail into an awesome adventure aboard the giant pirate ship at SM City Sucat’s Atrium B and capture the fun in dozens of photos with a beautiful snowy mountain backdrop.

They can also take greeting-card worthy photos with majestic 30-foot Christmas tree decked in twinkling lights and baubles of different colors.

Even Santa Claus himself is joining in on the fun, ready to greet fans, both young and young at heart.

Some celebrities also graced the event, including Christine Jacob-Sandejas, Danica Sotto-Pingris and her kids, and fashion blogger Verniece Enciso, with Chino Lui-Pio hosting the event.

They also have fun activities for the whole family:

Santa Meet and Greet – November 9, 22, 29; December 6, 13, 20, and 21
Grand Fireworks Display – December 6, 13, 21, and 30
Christmas Musical – December 8, 14, and 27

Christmas time is gift-giving time.

So for only ₱200, you can get two adorable bears, one to take home and the other to donate to charity. Neat, huh?

Bring all your kids and families to this joyous event and experience a Yo Ho Holiday at SM City Sucat!
