Join Quezon City's 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary Celebration this Oct 10-11! #QCRocks75


Let us all celebrate QC's anniversary through culture, history and festivities!
As Quezon City's Diamond Jubilee Anniversary comes to a close, the local government cooks up a series of unforgettable festivities.

Each of these culminating activities, scheduled on October 10 and 11, has been crafted to leave a mark on our 75 years of cityhood, as well as to welcome the coming year with positive vibes and shrill momentum.

For the October 10 ( Saturday )festivities:

8am- 4pm: Invited 75 bloggers will take on a one-day field trip around the heart of Quezon City and   experience first   hand the city's history and culture. It will help promote the City's tourism through photos and social media posts.

The places they will visit include:

5pm : A parade of 500 festival dancers like Panagbengga, Sinulog, Ati-Atihan, Dinagyang, Maskarra will tour around QC to celebrate the City's colorful 75 years.

It will start touring around the areas of Tomas Morato and ends at Rembrandt Hotel wherein each group will perform and put smiles in each Quezonian. See map below.

6pm : Right after the festival dancers, a grand parade of lights will come and celebrate the City's bright tourism and key destinations.
          It will start at Tomas Morato area and ends at Rembrandt Hotel to join the festivities.






For October 11 ( Sunday ) festivities:

The closing of the event on October 11 is the FREE concert ( like Parokya ni Edgar, Rocksteddy, Barbie Almalbis ..) and Grand parade of Lights which will happen simultaneously at 7pm.


While the concert is on going as Quezon Memorial Circle, the floats will tour around Vizayas Ave. and Mindanao Ave. at 12MN in time for Fireworks and "Salubong" celebration for October 12, exact founding day of our beloved Quezon City.
