TikTok Unveils New Digital Well-being Hub to Help Filipino Users Build Healthier Online Habits
TikTok, the world’s leading short-form video platform, has launched its new Time and Well-being Page, a dedicated in-app hub designed to help users relax, reset, and develop balanced digital habits.
This initiative is part of TikTok’s ongoing commitment to supporting the safety and mental wellness of its community, particularly teens, by offering practical tools for more mindful online engagement. At the launch event, TikTok hosted a panel discussion featuring Bea Bautista, Head of Communications for the Philippines; Peachy Paderna, Public Policy Manager for the Philippines; and Riyan Portuguez, psychologist, digital wellness advocate, and content creator. The discussion highlighted how the new page equips users and families with resources to manage their time online intentionally.
Tools for Mindful Digital Use
“The Time and Well-being Page was designed to give our community tools to interact with TikTok mindfully and cultivate habits that truly benefit them,” said Peachy Paderna. “These features reflect TikTok’s proactive approach to online safety and are built in collaboration with experts to ensure users enjoy a safe, personalized, and positive experience.”
Riyan Portuguez emphasized the importance of fostering sustainable digital habits. “Digital spaces are a central part of everyday life, especially for young people. Encouraging mindful breaks rather than imposing strict restrictions helps users reflect and develop healthier habits. TikTok’s Time and Well-being tools make this easier and more enjoyable.”
Key Features to Support Balanced Digital Routines
Accessible through Account Settings, the Time and Well-being Page combines academic research, expert insights, and interactive tools to promote a healthy relationship with technology. Key features include:
