Cycling met coastal luxury once again as The Bellevue Resort Bohol reaffirmed its role as a key supporter of cycling tourism by hosting riders of the annual Giro d’ Luca 2026.

The three day gathering took place from May 29 to 31 across Bohol, bringing together cyclists for a route filled with scenic roads, shared effort, and a strong sense of community.

The event, Giro d’ Luca, is a non competitive cycling initiative founded by restaurateur and entrepreneur Gianluca Guidicelli. More than a ride, it has grown into a yearly tradition that highlights endurance, friendship, and a collective love for cycling while showcasing the natural beauty of the island province.

More than 400 kilometers of shared journeys across Bohol

Over the course of the ride, participants covered more than 400 kilometers of routes stretching across coastal roads, countryside climbs, and quiet provincial stretches. Riders from different backgrounds and skill levels moved as one peloton, building camaraderie while taking in the landscapes that make Bohol one of the Philippines most admired cycling destinations.

Instead of focusing on competition, the atmosphere centered on connection. Conversations, pacing support, and shared milestones shaped the journey as much as the kilometers completed.

A long standing partnership built on wellness and endurance support

For over a decade, The Bellevue Resort Bohol has stood as a dedicated partner of Giro d’ Luca. The resort continues to support cyclists not only with premium accommodations but also with thoughtful amenities designed for recovery and performance.

According to Charo Aguilar, Director of Events of The Bellevue Resort Bohol, the partnership reflects a shared vision for wellness driven travel in the province.

“Giro d’ Luca represents meaningful wellness centered experiences that reflect what we want guests to find in Bohol. For more than a decade we have been proud to support this cycling community and provide riders with a place to rest, recover, and enjoy the natural beauty of the island,” Aguilar shared.

A celebration that brought the community together

To close the three day ride, The Bellevue Resort Bohol hosted an intimate birthday dinner for Gianluca Guidicelli. The gathering brought together riders, friends, and family in a warm setting that highlighted the strong community spirit that Giro d’ Luca has built over the years.

Guidicelli expressed his appreciation for the long standing support of the resort, emphasizing its role in shaping the event’s identity.

“Bohol has always been special to Giro d’ Luca, and Bellevue has played a huge role in making each year memorable for our riders. Their support through the years has helped us build a community centered on sportsmanship, friendship, and a shared passion for cycling,” he said.

Strengthening Bohol as a cycling and wellness destination

Through continued collaboration with Giro d’ Luca, The Bellevue Resort Bohol reinforces its commitment to positioning Bohol as a leading destination for cycling tourism and active lifestyle travel in the Philippines.

As cycling events continue to grow in popularity, partnerships like this highlight how hospitality, sport, and community can come together to shape meaningful travel experiences rooted in wellness, connection, and the natural charm of the island.
