TCL A400 Series TVs Turn Filipino Heritage Into a Stunning Home Entertainment Masterpiece
Can a television become a work of art? TCL believes it can and its latest launch proves exactly that.
In a remarkable celebration of technology, culture, and Filipino creativity, TCL Philippines officially introduced its newest A400 Series TVs during the "Heritage in Every Frame" event at the historic Centro de Turismo in Intramuros, Manila. More than just a product launch, the event showcased how cutting-edge display technology can preserve and celebrate the country's rich artistic heritage while redefining modern home entertainment.
As the world's top panel TV brand and a global leader in consumer electronics, TCL continues to push the boundaries of innovation by creating products that seamlessly blend into everyday Filipino homes while delivering premium viewing experiences.
TCL A400 Series Brings Art and Technology Together
Held in time for the Philippines' 128th Independence Day celebration, the launch reflected the perfect harmony between tradition and innovation.
The spotlight was on the new TCL A400 Series QD Mini LED TVs, designed not only to deliver exceptional picture quality but also to transform living spaces into elegant art galleries. When not in use, the television becomes a sophisticated display that enhances any home's interior.
TCL Philippines Chief Executive Officer Peter Chen shared the vision behind the newest lineup.
"The TCL A400 Series represents our vision of what home entertainment can become, not simply a device for viewing content, but a centerpiece that enhances the living space even when not in use."
Fernando Amorsolo's Masterpieces Shine on the TCL A400 Series
One of the biggest highlights of the event was the breathtaking digital exhibition featuring the iconic paintings of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo.
Powered by the TCL A400M and TCL A400 Pro, the artworks were digitally animated in ultra-high definition, allowing guests to appreciate every brushstroke, color, and detail in extraordinary clarity.
Visitors admired some of Amorsolo's most beloved masterpieces, including:
- Carabao Riding in Sunset
- Noonday Meal
- Tinikling
- Dalagang Bukid
- The Blind Man
- Fruit Market
- Bataan
Each painting beautifully reflected Filipino traditions, rural life, resilience, and culture while showcasing the impressive color accuracy and visual depth of the TCL A400 Series.
The stunning display demonstrated how advanced television technology can breathe new life into timeless works of art.
Digital Animation Gives Classic Paintings New Life
Adding another creative layer to the exhibition was renowned digital animator Mark Cañega, who transformed Amorsolo's paintings into moving visual stories without losing their original beauty.
Rather than creating cartoon-like animations, Cañega focused on preserving the warmth, texture, and signature sunlight found in Amorsolo's paintings.
"Animating the masterpieces of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo is an incredible honor and a unique technical challenge," Cañega explained.
He shared that every animation was carefully crafted to respect the original artwork while allowing viewers to appreciate subtle movements like flowing rivers, swaying trees, and gentle winds, making each painting feel alive on the TCL A400 display.
Celebrity Guests Share Their First Impressions
The event also featured an engaging discussion with actress Heaven Peralejo, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo, and mommy content creator Jenny Yeo, who shared their thoughts after seeing the TCL A400 Series in action.
Heaven Peralejo admitted she initially mistook the display for a real painting.
"At first, I didn't even realize I was looking at a television. I thought it was an actual painting. The texture, details, and emotions were beautifully preserved."
Jenny Yeo highlighted one feature that immediately won her over, the TV's Art Gallery Mode.
"As a mom, I love that instead of looking at a blank screen, our television can display beautiful artwork. It adds elegance to our home while remaining functional."
Meanwhile, Chelsea Manalo praised how the television blends Filipino heritage with modern technology.
"The TCL A400 Series gives museums a modern touch. It bridges our culture with today's technology, and it doesn't even feel like you're looking at a television, it feels like a real piece of art."
TCL Gives Back to the Intramuros Community
Beyond introducing a new television lineup, TCL also demonstrated its commitment to community development.
During the event, the company donated televisions and air-conditioning units to several institutions within Intramuros, including:
Centro de Turismo Intramuros
Intramuros Information Center
iMAKE History Fortress LEGO Education Center
Fr. Luis G. Merino, O.S.A. Library
Intramuros Administration Administrator Atty. Joan Padilla expressed gratitude for the partnership.
She emphasized that combining modern technology with Filipino heritage creates meaningful opportunities for younger generations to appreciate the nation's history through engaging and interactive platforms.
Redefining Home Entertainment Through Art
The TCL A400 Series proves that today's televisions can do far more than stream movies or play games.
With its premium QD Mini LED display, elegant design, and immersive Art Gallery Mode, the television transforms into a stunning centerpiece that celebrates creativity even while idle.
The "Heritage in Every Frame" showcase demonstrated how technology can preserve culture, inspire creativity, and elevate everyday living all at once.
Closing the event, TCL Director of Sales Cyd Montebon shared the company's vision for the future.
"The TCL A400 Series has shown how innovation can create new ways to appreciate Filipino heritage. It reflects TCL's commitment to developing technology that enhances everyday life while inspiring creativity, self-expression, and meaningful connections."
