Why The Grinch WiIl Hit You Right In The Feels

Okay, in my defense, I was a kid when I first heard about The Grinch. I opted for inspirational films so I did not include this on my list. Anyway, if you're still unfamiliar with the Grinch's story, let me just make this clear. Although the story was created for kids, you'll definitely be crazy about it as an adult.
When I got an invite a week ago to see the premier of The Grinch , I was like, "Okay, I'll give this one a chance." So I went to see the movie with my 10, 11, and 13 years old.
The 2018 rendition of The Grinch was said to be very dull than the original, according to critics. But surprisingly, it was a joy to watch and my troop enjoyed it much.
Honestly, I was laughing and crying when it highlighted the mother-daughter drama. Cried again when the Grinch revealed why he stole Christmas. He said he stole it because he thought it would fix something from the past. But it didn't. I cried my ugliest when the movie hit me right in the feels. Most of the time, we dwell on the past and those unresolved issues weigh us down. Same goes for hate. When we allow ourselves to be consumed by anger , it just drowns us with bitterness. I read this somewhere : Difficult experiences can fill you with pain, but making decisions based on hate steals your ability to focus on what really matters to you. Hate bleeds you of your happiness.
Revenge will never make you feel better.

Based on Dr. Seuss' beloved holiday classic, The Grinch embarks on life's journey with his dog MAX, decided to steal Christmas along the way because he's too grumpy, bitter, and mean, only to have his heart changed by a young girl's generous holiday spirit (IMDB).

I highly recommend you to see this animated film with your family as there are plenty of funny, as well as heartbreaking moments throughout. I wanted to be part of the Whoville community so bad, I plan on decorating my home with the same decors they used there. Seriously, this is a good movie, perfect for the whole family.
I'm not really a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch's voice as The Grinch, though.

Now, you'd better get into the Grinchmas spirit!
