A Go To Family Mall in San Mateo for Food Fun and Everyday Needs

When we visited San Mateo, I honestly wasn’t expecting to see such a spacious and lively mall, especially with its provincial location.

SM City San Mateo turned out to be bigger than expected, and from the moment we walked in, the kids were clearly enjoying themselves. What was supposed to be a simple stop quickly became a relaxed family outing filled with food, fun, and little discoveries.

The mall feels easy to enjoy with kids, thanks to its wide walkways and well-balanced mix of shops. When it was time to eat, there were plenty of options that worked for the whole family. Saiko Restaurant stood out with its comforting bowls of ramen, perfect after walking around. Sisig Hooray offered familiar Filipino flavors that were hearty and satisfying, making it an easy choice for a shared family meal. For quick breaks in between, Block Coffee provided good coffee and refreshing drinks that kept everyone energized.

The kids were also drawn to the simple treats around the mall. Bulawan Panaderya filled the area with the smell of freshly baked bread, and we ended up taking home classic Filipino pastries for merienda. It was a small but memorable part of the day. Having Katinko inside the mall was also a welcome convenience, especially for parents who appreciate easy access to wellness and pain relief essentials.

Overall, SM City San Mateo proved to be more than just a place to shop. It’s a family-friendly space where dining, comfort, and everyday needs come together. If you’re spending time in San Mateo and looking for a relaxed yet enjoyable gala with the kids, this mall is definitely worth a visit.
